The new Highmark Stadium opened in Orchard Park in 2026, and fans in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Hamilton have been working out how best to reach it ever since. The drive is not the hard part. The stadium's parking rules, the border on game days and the trip home after a night kickoff are. NiagaraFallsLimo.net runs Bills trips for groups of friends, families and corporate guests, and this is how we plan a game day from the Canadian side.
How do you get to a Bills game from Niagara Falls, Canada?
Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, is about 55 km (34 mi) from Niagara Falls, Ontario, usually 50–60 minutes of driving off-peak plus the border inspection. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives groups across the Peace or Rainbow Bridge and back after the game; book online and the fixed fare shows before you pay.
Leave far earlier than the drive suggests. The Bills open parking lots four hours before kickoff and security gates three hours before, and game-day traffic builds on both sides of the border.
The stadium, briefly
The Bills cut the ribbon on Highmark Stadium on June 23, 2026, and the team puts its final cost at just over US$2.1 billion, with fans contributing US$263 million through personal seat licence sales (Buffalo Bills). It stands across from the old stadium it replaced. Our concerts and sports transportation page covers other events there.
Remaining 2026 home games
From the Bills schedule, as of late October 2026:
| Date | Opponent | Kickoff (ET) | Planning note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sunday, November 1 | Baltimore Ravens | 1:00 p.m. | Daytime game; back in Niagara by evening |
| Sunday, November 22 | Miami Dolphins | 1:00 p.m. | Late-November weather |
| Thursday, November 26 | Kansas City Chiefs | 8:20 p.m. | US Thanksgiving night; expect a very late return |
| Saturday, December 19 | Chicago Bears | 8:20 p.m. | Night game in December |
| Week 18 | New York Jets | To be announced | Date and time not yet set |
Both countries use Eastern Time, so kickoff in Orchard Park is the same clock as your hotel in Niagara Falls.
Lot rules that shape a group's day
The Bills' A to Z stadium guide has several rules that matter for anyone arriving by hired vehicle.
- Every lot needs an advance pass. On game day, transactions are limited to accessible parking.
- Buses and limousines need a Bus & Limo Lot permit, bought in advance through the Bills Ticket Office. Vehicles without one are turned away.
- Sprinter vans of any size must use the Limo Lot with an advance pass; they cannot park in the colour-coded general lots.
- Tailgating in the Bus & Limo Lot is allowed only for limousines holding 11 people or fewer, and not next to parked buses. Tailgating ends at kickoff.
- Abbott Road closes to vehicles five hours before kickoff near the stadium, and parts of Route 20A close after the game.
- Lots open four hours before kickoff and close two hours after the game.
When you book, tell us if you want the vehicle to park in the Bus & Limo Lot for the whole game, which needs that advance permit, or to drop you and return afterwards. We confirm with you how the permit is handled before the day.

Alcohol: the game-day rule we do not bend
We do not allow drinking in our vehicles, before, during or after the game. Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law forbids drivers to permit alcohol consumption in the vehicle, and New York's Vehicle and Traffic Law section 1227 bans drinking and open containers in a motor vehicle on a public highway, with only a narrow exemption for certain permitted buses of ten or more passengers. Our rule is simpler than either: nothing is opened on board. What your group does at a tailgate happens outside the vehicle and within the Bills' parking code of conduct, which prohibits intoxication that leads to irresponsible behaviour.
The chauffeur never drinks, which is the point of hiring one for a game.
The border, both ways
Two bridges make sense from Niagara Falls. The Peace Bridge from Fort Erie lands in Buffalo, convenient for the southern route to Orchard Park; its Canada-bound NEXUS lanes run 24 hours and it is cashless. The Rainbow Bridge is handy from Clifton Hill and Fallsview hotels. Your chauffeur picks on the day, after checking wait times on both.
During the 2026 World Cup, CBSA warned that game days bring more traffic at the border and that holiday long weekends are the busiest periods; a Bills Sunday follows the same logic, and the Thanksgiving night game is a special case. Our border wait times page shows where to see live estimates, and the journal post on Peace Bridge wait-time patterns explains how queues build. Morning truck traffic is covered in why Peace Bridge mornings can be slow.
Documents: every fan carries their own. Canadian and US citizens may enter the US by land with a passport, an enhanced driver's licence or a NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST card; see our page on documents for entering the USA. Cannabis must not cross in any form. Merchandise bought at the stadium is declared on the way home; Canadians on a same-day trip have no personal exemption.
A sample timeline for a 1 p.m. kickoff
- 8:00 a.m. Pickup at your Niagara Falls hotel or a meeting point in St. Catharines.
- 8:15 a.m. Bridge approach. Inspection time unknown, so the plan carries slack.
- Around 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Lots open at 9 a.m. for a 1 p.m. kickoff; the car heads to the Bus & Limo Lot or the agreed drop-off.
- 10:00 a.m. Security gates open. Clear bags only, up to 12 × 6 × 12 in.
- 1:00 p.m. Kickoff.
- After the game. Meet at the vehicle or the agreed pickup point. Post-game road closures slow the first part of the drive.
- Evening. Back over the bridge to Niagara.
For an 8:20 p.m. night game, the same plan shifts by seven hours and the return over the bridge falls after midnight. The Peace Bridge and Rainbow Bridge are both listed by CBP as open 24 hours.
Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip
| Option | Door-to-door time from Niagara Falls | Cost note | After the game | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private chauffeur | About 50–60 min plus border | Fixed fare via booker; no surge | Vehicle waits in the lot or returns at a set point | Groups, families, corporate guests |
| Rideshare | Similar, if a driver crosses | Surge pricing on game days | Bills warn of driver shortages after night games; designated zone on the ECC South Campus | Two fans from Buffalo, not from Canada |
| Taxi | Similar, if the cab crosses | Metered | Hard to find at the stadium | Rarely practical |
| NFTA Game Day Express | From Buffalo only; seats limited | Published fare | First buses about 30 minutes after the game | Fans already staying in Buffalo |
| Driving yourself | About 50–60 min plus border | Fuel, toll, advance lot pass | You drive home after a long day | Groups with a designated non-drinking driver |
Our honest verdict: two fans staying in downtown Buffalo can manage with the NFTA buses or a rideshare, and we would tell them so. From the Canadian side, the case for a pre-booked vehicle is strong. The Bills themselves recommend a backup plan for rides home after night games because of driver shortages, a rideshare may not cross the border, and somebody has to drive back through two inspections at midnight. A chauffeur with an advance lot plan removes all three problems.

Who game day suits
Groups of friends are the classic Bills trip, and a Stretch Limousine or Sprinter keeps everyone together. Families with children can take a daytime 1 p.m. game and be back in Niagara for dinner. Corporations hosting clients use a chauffeured vehicle to keep the day on schedule, and our corporations page explains how we work with them. Couples and individuals who want to avoid driving after the game simply book a sedan. See our groups page for planning larger parties.
Frequently asked questions
How far is Highmark Stadium from Niagara Falls, Ontario?
About 55 km (34 mi) by road from the Fallsview and Clifton Hill hotels, usually 50–60 minutes of driving off-peak. The border inspection is extra, and game days bring more traffic, so leave several hours before kickoff.
Can a limo park at Highmark Stadium?
Yes, with a Bus & Limo Lot permit bought in advance through the Bills Ticket Office; vehicles without one are turned away. Sprinter vans of any size must also use the Limo Lot with an advance pass. Tell us at booking if you want the vehicle to stay through the game.
Can we tailgate from a limo at a Bills game?
The Bills allow tailgating in the Bus & Limo Lot only for limousines holding 11 people or fewer, and tailgating ends at kickoff. Nobody drinks inside our vehicles, and anything your group does at the tailgate happens outside the car and within the stadium's code of conduct.
What time do Bills parking lots open?
Lots open four hours before kickoff and close two hours after the game ends. Security gates open three hours before kickoff, and ticket entries two hours before. Abbott Road closes to vehicles five hours before kickoff.
Which bridge is best for a Bills game from Niagara Falls?
The Peace Bridge from Fort Erie or the Rainbow Bridge from Niagara Falls, depending on wait times on the day. Both are listed by CBP as open 24 hours, which matters for night games. Your chauffeur checks both before leaving.
Is the Thanksgiving game on November 26, 2026 a problem at the border?
It is a night game, 8:20 p.m. ET, on US Thanksgiving. CBSA says holiday long weekends are the busiest periods at the border, so expect heavier traffic in both directions and a return after midnight. Leave early and keep everyone's documents ready.
Do Canadians need a passport for a Bills game?
Canadians may enter the US by land with a valid passport, an enhanced driver's licence, or a NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST card. Every person in the vehicle needs their own document. Do not carry cannabis in any form across the border.
