Houston has no zoning code and no single centre. Downtown, the Galleria, the Texas Medical Center, the Energy Corridor and The Woodlands are each a city of their own, joined by freeways that are often congested at rush hour. The first question in any limo service Houston booking is therefore not "which car" but "which airport, which side of town, and what time".
NiagaraFallsLimo.net is a reservations desk based in Niagara that books chauffeured transportation across the United States. In Houston, your vehicle and chauffeur are provided by an independent, licensed and commercially insured operator in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network. We take the booking, set the standard, and remain your point of contact before and during the ride. We do not have a Houston office, garage or local staff, and we will not suggest that we do.
Which Houston airport should I book a car from?
NiagaraFallsLimo.net books Houston airport car service from both airports. William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is about 21 km (13 mi) from downtown, usually 25–35 minutes; George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is about 37 km (23 mi), usually 35–55 minutes. Add your flight in the online booker, pick a vehicle at its fixed fare and pay; a licensed chauffeur meets you.
All bookings include flight tracking, so delays move the pickup with the plane. Meet & greet with a name board, child, toddler and booster seats, and a wheelchair option are chosen in the booker. Point to point, return, multi-stop and "By the hour" modes are all priced before payment.
Houston airport car service at IAH: where your chauffeur waits
George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the region's international gateway, with terminals A through E north of the city. The Houston Airports system publishes specific meeting points for pre-arranged limousines and sedans, which you can check on the IAH limousines and sedans page:
- Terminal A: the Limo Reception Area in baggage claim.
- Terminal C: baggage claim.
- Terminal E: the west side, Door 103.
- International arrivals at Terminal D clear customs and immigration into the Terminal E international arrivals hall, so international passengers meet their car on the Terminal E side.
Follow the "Ground Transportation" signs; limo exits are marked "Limousines" or "Limos". If you add meet & greet in the booker, the chauffeur waits inside with a name board, which is the easiest option after a long international flight and customs. Our meet and greet service explains how it works.
Typical times from IAH:
- Downtown Houston: about 37 km (23 mi), usually 35–55 minutes.
- The Galleria and Uptown: about 46 km (29 mi), usually 40–60 minutes.
- Texas Medical Center: about 42 km (26 mi), usually 40–60 minutes.
- The Woodlands: north of the airport, a shorter run than downtown in most traffic.
Hobby Airport (HOU) pickups
William P. Hobby Airport sits south-east of downtown and is the quicker airport for downtown, the Medical Center, NASA's Johnson Space Center area and Galveston. Its rules for pre-arranged cars are clear on the Hobby limousines and sedans page: follow the signs to "Ground Transportation", meet your driver in baggage claim on the arrivals level, and never accept a ride without a reservation. Drivers picking up must be badged and may not solicit fares.
From Hobby, downtown is about 21 km (13 mi), usually 25–35 minutes, and the Texas Medical Center about 19 km (12 mi), usually 25–35 minutes.
Black car and chauffeur service for Houston business
Houston's business geography is spread wide: oil and gas offices along the Energy Corridor on Interstate 10 west, finance and law downtown, retail and hotels in the Galleria, research and hospitals in the Medical Center, and corporate campuses in The Woodlands.
The George R. Brown Convention Center anchors the east side of downtown; the GRB's official site lists upcoming events. When a major show opens, downtown hotels fill and the streets around the convention centre slow down at the start and end of each day.
What corporate travellers usually book:
- Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class or a Standard Sedan for one executive from IAH or Hobby to a downtown or Galleria hotel.
- Executive Black SUV (Escalade or Navigator class) for two to three people with bags.
- "By the hour" as directed for a day spanning downtown, the Energy Corridor and the Galleria, with the car waiting outside every stop. Our hourly chauffeur service explains the mode.
- Executive Sprinter for a team of up to 12 heading to a client dinner.
Chauffeurs keep client business confidential, with NDAs available on request. Every vehicle class in Houston is "availability confirmed at booking", because local fleets differ. The classes are listed on our fleet page.
Texas Medical Center appointments
The Texas Medical Center, south of downtown, describes itself as the largest medical complex in the world, and many visitors to Houston come for treatment or to accompany a family member there. The Texas Medical Center's official site describes its member institutions.
For patients and families, a pre-booked chauffeur solves several problems at once: no hospital parking garage, a known pickup time, help with bags and a wheelchair option chosen in the booker. Many families book Hobby to the hotel, a set of hourly "as directed" blocks for appointment days, and the return to the airport. Our accessible transportation page explains how we handle mobility needs.
Party bus Houston: game days, rodeo season and nights out
The party bus Houston search follows the city's big venues.
- NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans, sits in NRG Park south-west of downtown, about 13 km (8 mi) from City Hall. NRG Park also hosts the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo each year, the city's busiest event season. The NRG Park official site lists events and parking rules.
- Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, downtown; the ballpark took its current name in January 2025 after years as Minute Maid Park.
- Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, also downtown.
- Nights out in Midtown, Montrose, Washington Avenue and the downtown entertainment blocks for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties.
- Proms and weddings across Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery counties.
The booker offers a Party Bus for up to 12, a Stretch Limousine for up to 8 and a Stretch SUV Limousine for up to 16, with availability confirmed at booking; coaches are available on request for larger groups. Alcohol stays off the vehicle: no drinking on board anything booked through us, and the chauffeur never drinks. See our party bus page, wedding limo service and concerts and sports transportation.
Space Center Houston and Galveston cruises
Space Center Houston, the official visitor centre of NASA's Johnson Space Center, is about 42 km (26 mi) south-east of downtown, usually 40–55 minutes. A family day there works well as a "By the hour" booking with the car waiting.
Galveston is the cruise question. The Port of Galveston's terminals sit on the island, about 82 km (51 mi) from downtown Houston, usually 1 h – 1 h 20 without heavy traffic; from Hobby it is about 66 km (41 mi), and from IAH about 113 km (70 mi), usually 1 h 30 – 2 h. The Port of Galveston official site lists terminals and parking. Book the airport-to-ship leg and the disembarkation-day return together, with ship and terminal in the notes. Luggage and timing tips are on our cruise transfer service page.
Comparing ways to get around Houston
| Mode | Door-to-door time (IAH to downtown) | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rideshare app | 40–60 min plus the pickup wait | Surge pricing at peaks | Depends on car | Solo travellers, light bags |
| Taxi | 35–55 min | Metered or zone rate | Trunk only | A quick ride with no booking |
| Airport bus | Over 1 h with stops | Transit fare | Limited | Very tight budgets |
| Rental car | 35–55 min, plus the rental shuttle and parking | Rental, tolls, hotel parking | Good | Travellers covering the whole region |
| Private chauffeur | 35–55 min, no waiting | Fixed fare via booker | Sized to the group | Executives, patients, families, groups, cruises |
Being straightforward about it: a solo business traveller with a carry-on landing at Hobby at noon will do fine with a taxi or a rideshare. A pre-booked chauffeur is the better choice for a late international arrival at IAH, a patient with a wheelchair or a lot of bags, a group heading to NRG Stadium, a cruise morning in Galveston, or a meeting day that needs one car across three districts. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide explains the trade-offs.
Booking a Houston car in 3 steps

Reserve your Houston chauffeur
Houston to Niagara Falls
Houston to Niagara Falls is searched more than you might expect, and the road distance settles the question: about 2,421 km (1,504 mi), roughly 27–29 hours of driving before the border, three full days. We do not recommend booking it as a car ride.
Fly north and ride the last leg with us:
- Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF): roughly 35–40 km (22–25 mi) to the Ontario side, most days 35–50 minutes, with the bridge on top. Reserve through our Buffalo Niagara airport transfer page.
- Toronto Pearson (YYZ): 125–135 km (78–84 mi) to Niagara Falls, Ontario, typically 1 h 20 – 1 h 45 away from peak hours. See our Toronto Pearson airport transfer page.
Check your airline for whether a nonstop operates on your dates from IAH or Hobby. From BUF your chauffeur crosses the border with you, and each passenger carries their own documents; US citizens can use a passport, passport card, enhanced driver's licence or NEXUS card. Before packing, look at our border crossing guide and the documents for entering Canada page.
Then plan the Niagara part with our Niagara Falls tour packages, the Niagara Falls private tour, our guide to Niagara Falls hotels and the travel desk.
Who books Houston cars with us
- Individuals: engineers, consultants and lawyers moving between IAH, downtown and the Energy Corridor.
- Couples: an anniversary dinner in River Oaks or a wedding without the parking.
- Families: Medical Center visits, Space Center days and cruise departures with children and car seats.
- Groups: Texans game days, rodeo nights, proms and corporate outings.
Cancellation and booking terms
The clock runs back from the scheduled pickup: with more than 72 hours' notice there is no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%. Special dates such as proms, long weekends and large weddings can have their own deadline, which appears on the confirmation.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a limo in Houston?
That depends on the vehicle, distance and time. You see a fixed, all-in fare for your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle on the booker's screen before paying. An IAH transfer, a party bus night and an hourly Medical Center day each get their own clear figure, and nothing is added after booking.
Where do I meet my driver at IAH?
Houston Airports lists the Limo Reception Area in Terminal A baggage claim, baggage claim in Terminal C, and the west side of Terminal E at Door 103. International arrivals at Terminal D clear customs into the Terminal E arrivals hall. With meet & greet, your chauffeur waits inside with a name board.
Is Hobby or Bush Intercontinental closer to downtown Houston?
Hobby (HOU) is closer, about 21 km (13 mi) from downtown and about 19 km (12 mi) from the Texas Medical Center. Bush Intercontinental (IAH) is about 37 km (23 mi) north of downtown. We book cars from both airports.
Can I book a car from Houston to the Galveston cruise port?
Yes. The Port of Galveston is about 82 km (51 mi) from downtown Houston and about 66 km (41 mi) from Hobby. Book the ride to the ship and the return for disembarkation day together, with the ship and terminal in the notes, so both fares are fixed.
Can I book a car from Houston to Niagara Falls?
Not as a sensible single ride; it is about 2,421 km. A flight to Buffalo Niagara (BUF) or Toronto Pearson (YYZ) plus a transfer with us is the realistic route. BUF is only 35–40 km from the Canadian Falls, and the chauffeur takes you across.
Do you offer wheelchair-accessible cars for Medical Center visits?
A wheelchair option can be selected in the booker; availability is confirmed at booking with the local operator. Tell us the type of chair and whether the passenger can transfer to a seat, and the chauffeur will help with bags and the chair.
Who provides the car in Houston?
Houston cars come from an independent operator in the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network that is licensed and commercially insured. NiagaraFallsLimo.net takes your booking, applies our service standard and remains your contact for changes, questions and receipts.
