People in King Township tend to describe where they live by the road rather than the town: off King Road, up Jane, past the Dufferin sideroads. It is horse-farm and conservation country an hour's drive from downtown Toronto, and it has a habit of producing long, specific trips. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books King City limo service for those trips, from a quick Pearson run to a conference group arriving at a country retreat to a full day at Niagara Falls with the ride home already arranged.
How far is King City from Niagara Falls, and how does a chauffeured trip work?
King City is about 154 km (96 mi) from the Fallsview area of Niagara Falls, usually 1 h 50 – 2 h 20 off-peak by Highway 400, the 407 ETR or 401, and the QEW. NiagaraFallsLimo.net collects you at your King Township address. Book online, choose a vehicle and see the fixed all-in fare before you pay.
Trips are dispatched in Ontario by NiagaraFallsLimo.net and driven by its own licensed, commercially insured chauffeurs. You get one booking, one car and one 24/7 desk, from the moment you leave the driveway to the moment you are home again.
King City to Niagara Falls and back: three ways to plan it
As a day trip. King City is the nearest of the northern York Region communities to the Falls, which makes a same-day round trip comfortable rather than tiring. A sample day:
- 9:00 a.m. Pickup in King City or Nobleton.
- About 11:00 a.m. Arrival at Table Rock beside the Horseshoe Falls, after a run down the 400, west on the 407 ETR and along the QEW.
- Late morning to mid-afternoon. The falls walk, a boat ride or Journey Behind the Falls, and lunch with a view.
- 3:00 p.m. Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 20–25 km north along the Niagara Parkway, for a winery tasting or the shops on Queen Street. Our Niagara wine tour limo service handles tasting bookings.
- 6:00 p.m. Head home, arriving in King City around 8:15 p.m.
As an overnight. Stay for the lights. Niagara Parks says the Falls are illuminated every evening from dusk, year-round, so a night in a Fallsview room means you see them lit without a late drive home. Book one ride down and one ride back; our Fallsview hotels page compares the towers.
One way. Handy if you are being met at the Falls, moving on to a wedding in Niagara-on-the-Lake or flying out of Buffalo the next morning. The Buffalo Niagara (BUF) page explains the border; each passenger needs their own documents.

See the fixed fare from King City to the Falls
The road south: Highway 400, then the 407 ETR or the 401
From King City the chauffeur heads for Highway 400, usually via King Road, then chooses between two corridors. The 407 ETR runs west across the top of the city and meets the QEW at Burlington; it is a private toll highway with no booths, billed by transponder or licence-plate camera according to the 407 ETR FAQ. The toll-free option is the 401 west to Highway 427 south, then the QEW. On weekdays the 407 usually wins; early on a Sunday the 401 and 427 are often clear.
Either way, the last 90 minutes are on the QEW, over the Burlington Skyway and past the vineyards below the Niagara Escarpment. The choice is made from live traffic, and the fixed fare you accepted does not change. Our Vaughan and Markham to Niagara Falls route page describes the same corridor from just south of here.
Pickups across King Township
The Township of King groups its communities as King City, Nobleton, Schomberg and rural King, and we pick up in all of them. Rural addresses need a little more information than city ones: the gate code, which of two driveways to use, whether a long lane can take a Sprinter. Our journal post on estate-country pickups in King City and Nobleton explains what to put in the booking notes so the car arrives at the right gate first time.
King City GO, on the Barrie line, is the other common pickup. If you arrive by train, give the train number and the chauffeur tracks it.
King City airport limo: a short run to Pearson
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is only about 45 km from King City, far closer than from Newmarket or Aurora, usually 40 to 55 minutes by the 400 and 407 ETR or the 427. That short distance makes King Township a natural base for visitors who fly in for a retreat or a family visit.
- Arrivals are tracked by flight number, so an early landing or a delay simply moves the pickup.
- Meet and greet puts the chauffeur inside arrivals with a name board.
- Business aviation arrivals at Pearson's FBO terminals are handled by our private jet and FBO transfer service.
The full guide is on our Toronto Pearson transfer page.
Kingbridge Centre and corporate groups
The biggest single source of business travel in King City is the Kingbridge Centre at 12750 Jane Street. Its own website describes an IACC-certified residential conference destination on 113 acres, hosting off-site meetings, leadership programs and corporate events, and its weddings page lists 124 guest rooms.
What a retreat organiser usually needs from us:
- Group arrivals from Pearson in an Executive Sprinter (up to 12) or several SUVs, timed to a block of flights.
- A Niagara afternoon for the group, with a winery or a falls visit as the team outing, booked "By the hour".
- Departures on the last day, staggered to each person's flight.
For a delegation too large for Sprinters, ask the desk about a coach. Our group transportation and corporate accounts pages explain how we coordinate a manifest.
Golf days, weddings and school formals
Golf. King Township is golf country, and King Valley Golf Club in King City is one of several clubs that host corporate outings as well as play. A Sprinter for a foursome and their clubs, or a pair of SUVs, takes the parking problem away; see our golf transportation page.
Weddings. Country venues mean long drives between ceremony, photographs and reception. A Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach for the couple, with availability confirmed at booking, and a Sprinter for the wedding party keeps the timetable together. The wedding limo service page and our page for event and wedding planners explain the planning.
Formals and proms. King City has two independent schools, The Country Day School on Dufferin Street and Villanova College, as well as public high schools in the township. Graduation nights follow each school's rules, which we take from the parents; our prom limo page explains how.
Limo rental for nights out. A Stretch Limousine for eight or a Party Bus for twelve suits a birthday in the city. No drinking is allowed in our vehicles, as Niagara Region's by-law and Ontario's liquor law require, and the chauffeur never drinks.
Choosing the right vehicle for a King Township trip
Country roads and long lanes make vehicle choice a little more practical here than in the city.
- Standard Sedan (Cadillac XTS or similar), up to 3 passengers and 2 large bags: the default for a Pearson run or a solo business day.
- Mercedes-Benz E or S-Class, up to 2: a quiet ride for a couple heading to a Niagara-on-the-Lake inn.
- Standard SUV or Executive Black SUV, up to 6 with 6 bags: the winter choice for unplowed sideroads, and the family choice for car seats.
- Executive Sprinter, up to 12 with carry-on bags: retreat delegates, golf foursomes and wedding parties. Check that your lane and turning space suit a long van.
- Stretch Limousine or Stretch SUV Limousine, up to 8 or 16: formals and celebrations, with availability confirmed at booking.
Models are "or similar" and are confirmed when you book. When in doubt, tell us the group size and the luggage in the notes and the desk will suggest a class.

If you live near King City GO, travel light and do not mind the change at Union Station, the GO network is a sensible way to reach the Falls; our train and bus guide covers it. When does a chauffeur win? Rural pickups that no train reaches, groups that would otherwise take two cars, car seats, tastings in Niagara-on-the-Lake and late returns down dark sideroads.
