Richmond Hill runs north along Yonge Street from the condo towers near Highway 7 up through the old village centre to Oak Ridges and its lakes. Most trips that start here head south first, which is why "Richmond Hill to Niagara Falls" is one of the city's most searched travel phrases. NiagaraFallsLimo.net provides limo service in Richmond Hill for airport transfers, theatre nights, proms, weddings and corporate travel, and it runs the round trip from Richmond Hill to Niagara Falls and back. The online booker shows a fixed fare for each vehicle before you pay.
How far is Richmond Hill from Niagara Falls?
Central Richmond Hill to the Fallsview area of Niagara Falls, Ontario is about 152 km (94 mi), usually 1 h 55 – 2 h 20 off-peak by the 407 ETR or the 404, 401 and 427 to the QEW. NiagaraFallsLimo.net picks you up at home and can bring you back the same day; the booker shows the fixed fare first.
That is a road-routing estimate from the city centre without traffic. Oak Ridges adds a few kilometres, and the Langstaff area near Highway 7 saves a few. Niagara-on-the-Lake comes out at about 150 km. The QEW through Oakville and Burlington is the usual bottleneck on summer weekends, so allow extra time on a Saturday in July or August. See the fares by vehicle below for the Richmond Hill to Niagara Falls and back trip.
Richmond Hill to Niagara Falls and back: a first-timer's day
For relatives visiting from abroad who have never seen the Falls, this order shows the most with the least walking:
- 8:45 a.m. Pickup at home. Child seats and a wheelchair option can be added in the booker.
- About 11 a.m. First view from the Niagara Parkway, then a drop-off close to Table Rock Centre at the Horseshoe Falls.
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The railing walk between the two falls, and the boat or the tunnels if the season allows.
- 1 – 2:30 p.m. Lunch with a view, either at the top of the Skylon Tower or in the Fallsview district.
- 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. Clifton Hill for the children, or the Niagara Glen and Botanical Gardens for a quieter hour.
- 5 p.m. Pickup, with the chauffeur waiting at the agreed spot, and home to Richmond Hill by about 7:15 p.m.
On a return booking the chauffeur is with you for the day; on "By the hour" the car follows whatever plan you make on the spot. More ideas are on our Niagara Falls tour packages page and in the attractions guide.
Overnight, one way or onward to wine country
A night at the Falls changes the trip into two simple transfers: a drop-off at the hotel and a pickup at check-out, with nothing to park in between. The Niagara hotels guide compares the Fallsview towers with quieter inns. Many Richmond Hill couples prefer to end the weekend in Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 24 km north of the Falls, and our Niagara-on-the-Lake transfer page and Niagara wine tour limo cover that leg. If you continue into New York State, every traveller needs their own valid document; the chauffeur drives you across, and our cross-border car service explains the process.

Richmond Hill airport limo
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about 42 km (26 mi) from central Richmond Hill, usually 40 – 55 minutes via the 407. We track arriving flights, so the pickup time moves with the plane, and a name board inside arrivals is available in the booker. Pearson describes its arrangements for pre-booked rides on its pre-arranged services page; our Toronto Pearson transfer page has the terminal details and the drive on to Niagara for anyone who wants to go straight from the plane to the Falls.
For a family flying out together, a Standard SUV (Suburban / Yukon XL) carries up to 6 passengers with 6 bags, and an Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz) takes up to 12 with carry-on luggage. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is the downtown option for some short-haul flights; see our Billy Bishop page. Business aircraft use Pearson's FBOs, covered on private jet and FBO transfers.
Pickups from Oak Ridges to Langstaff
- Langstaff and the Highway 7 corridor: condo towers and offices at the city's southern end, right beside the 407. Name the tower and lobby.
- The village core on Yonge Street: older streets around the historic centre; we agree a side street if Yonge is busy.
- Bayview Hill, Mill Pond and the residential west: driveway pickups.
- Oak Ridges in the north: a longer run to the highway, so allow a few extra minutes for early flights.
Shows, stargazing and nights out
Richmond Hill has two cultural venues we drive to often, both owned by the city:
- Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, at 10268 Yonge Street, presents concerts, theatre and touring shows; current listings are on the centre's website. A drop-off at the door on Yonge saves looking for parking before curtain.
- Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory, at 123A Hillsview Drive, which opened in 1935 and now runs tours and astronomy programmes, as the city's observatory page explains. Evening programmes finish after dark, and a car waiting outside is easier than a late taxi from a park.
Downtown Toronto is about 37 km south, usually 35 – 50 minutes, for concerts and games; see concerts and sports transportation.
Party bus and limo rental in Richmond Hill
Proms are the busiest weeks for limo rental in Richmond Hill. Parents book, the school's rules come first, and pickup and drop-off times are agreed in writing; the prom limo page explains how we run it. For birthdays and nights out, the Party Bus seats up to 12, the Stretch SUV Limousine up to 16 and the Stretch Limousine up to 8, with availability confirmed at booking. A stag or hen weekend at the Falls is covered on bachelor and bachelorette limos. One rule is fixed for every group: no alcohol in our vehicles, as Ontario law requires.
Weddings are planned as a schedule rather than a ride: the couple's car, the wedding party in a stretch or Sprinter, and a sedan for elders. The wedding limo page describes timings and what the chauffeur does between ceremony, photos and reception.
Corporate black cars along Highway 7 and the 404
Many Richmond Hill offices sit along Highway 7 and the 404, a short drive from Markham's business parks. Visiting staff often need a car for a whole day: an airport pickup, two client meetings, dinner and a hotel. One car on the hourly chauffeur mode, usually a Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class or an Executive Black SUV (Escalade / Navigator), handles it, with a discreet chauffeur and an NDA on request. Firms can set up an account through corporate car service.
Ways to make the trip, compared
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GO train via Union | usually 3 h 15 or more with a change | public fare, see GO's site | light bags | one person with a flexible day |
| Rideshare | about 2 h – 2 h 30 | surge pricing at peak times | small trunk | one or two riders, one way |
| Taxi | about 2 h – 2 h 30 | metered | trunk only | short-notice one-way trips |
| Driving yourself | about 2 h – 2 h 30, plus parking | fuel, 407 tolls, Falls parking | your own car | people keeping a car at the Falls |
| NiagaraFallsLimo.net chauffeur | about 1 h 55 – 2 h 20 off-peak | fixed fare via booker | sized to the group | families, visitors from abroad, groups |
If you are travelling alone and like trains, GO Transit is a good choice, and it runs to Niagara Falls seven days a week; from Richmond Hill you would connect at Union Station. A rideshare suits one person going one way. A chauffeur wins for grandparents and children, for a group of six or more, for luggage, for a return at a time you choose, and for wine country. The chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide explains the comparison fully, and the 407 itself is explained on the 407 ETR's FAQ: tolls are recorded electronically and billed to the vehicle's account, which on our trips is ours, not yours.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the drive from Richmond Hill to Niagara Falls?
About 152 km (94 mi) from central Richmond Hill to the Fallsview area, usually 1 h 55 – 2 h 20 without heavy traffic. Weekday rush hours and summer weekends on the QEW add the most time, so we suggest an early or a mid-morning start.
Can a limo pick us up in Richmond Hill for a day trip to the Falls and bring us back?
Yes. Book a return trip or "By the hour", and the same chauffeur drives you down, waits or comes back at a set time, and takes you home. See the fares by vehicle below for the round trip.
Which airport is closest to Richmond Hill?
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), about 42 km (26 mi) away and usually 40 – 55 minutes by car. Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) downtown is an alternative for some flights. We meet both with flight tracking.
How much does a limo cost in Richmond Hill?
It depends on the vehicle and the trip. Enter both addresses and the time in the online booker and it quotes a fixed all-in fare for each vehicle class before you pay. There is no meter, no surge and no toll bill sent to you later.
Can you take us to a show at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts?
Yes. We drop you at the door on Yonge Street and collect you after the performance, either as two transfers or on an hourly booking. Give us the show time and we plan the pickup around the final curtain.
Do you offer party buses in Richmond Hill?
Yes. The Party Bus seats up to 12 and the Stretch SUV Limousine up to 16, both with availability confirmed at booking. For proms a parent or guardian books, and no alcohol is allowed in any vehicle.
We live in Oak Ridges. How early should we leave for a morning flight?
Oak Ridges is at the northern end of Richmond Hill, so the run to Toronto Pearson is a little longer than from the city centre, about 51 km (32 mi), usually 45 – 60 minutes outside rush hour. For an international departure we suggest a pickup roughly three and a half hours before take-off, and a little more on a weekday morning, when the 407 and the 401 are at their busiest.
Is the 407 toll extra on a Richmond Hill trip?
No. The 407 ETR bills the account tied to the vehicle, and that is ours. The booker's fixed fare is all-in, so nothing arrives in your mail afterwards.
