NiagaraFallsLimo.net arranges private jet charter for Niagara Falls, Toronto and Buffalo travellers who would rather skip the airline terminal. You tell us the route, the date and how many people are flying. We ask licensed charter operators for an aircraft that fits, bring you a written quote, and once you approve it we book the flight on your behalf. The same reservations desk that runs our chauffeured cars then sends a vehicle to the private terminal at each end, so the trip runs from your door to your hotel, winery or office without a taxi rank in between.
We are a booking agent. We do not own aircraft, employ pilots or operate flights. Every flight we arrange is flown by a properly licensed air carrier that holds operational control of the aircraft, and that operator is named on your quote and your contract before you pay anything.
What is private jet charter, and how do we arrange it from Niagara?
Private jet charter means hiring a whole aircraft, with its crew, for your own trip. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books the flight with a licensed operator from Niagara District Airport (about 17 km from the Falls), Buffalo Niagara, Hamilton or Toronto Pearson, and adds the chauffeured car at both ends. Send the request form below for a written quote.
On an airline you buy a seat. On a charter you pay for the aircraft, so the timetable, the airports and the passenger list are yours. The aircraft waits at a fixed-base operator, or FBO: the private terminal on the far side of the airfield, where passengers walk through a small lounge and out to the ramp. Our private jet and FBO transfer service covers that drive; this section covers the flight itself.
Our role: booking agent, licensed operator, chauffeur at both ends
- The licensed operator. In Canada a commercial air service needs an air operator certificate from Transport Canada, and charter licensing also involves the Canadian Transportation Agency. In the United States on-demand charter is flown under 14 CFR Part 135, and the Federal Aviation Administration publishes a list of certificated charter operators anyone can check. The operator supplies aircraft and crew and holds operational control: it decides whether the flight goes, and its captain has the final word on weather, weight and safety.
- NiagaraFallsLimo.net. We collect your requirements, ask suitable operators to quote, book the option you choose and run the ground transport at both ends.
- You. You approve the quote and sign the operator's charter agreement.
US rules for air charter brokers (14 CFR 295.23) ask brokers to state that they are not a direct air carrier and that a properly licensed carrier provides the flight. That is exactly our position. The FAA's advice on checking a charter before you book suggests asking to see the operator's certificate; our quotes name the operator so you can.
Who private jet charter suits
Charter makes sense when time, privacy or the shape of the group matters more than the fare per seat.
- Individuals. A morning meeting in New York and dinner in Niagara-on-the-Lake on the same day. Our service for individual travellers handles the cars.
- Couples. Anniversaries and short getaways, with the car at the FBO going straight to a Niagara-on-the-Lake winery.
- Families. Children, grandparents, car seats and a pet travel together, with no gate changes.
- Groups. Friends on a golf or concert weekend share one aircraft and one Sprinter; see group transportation.
- Corporate travel. Two cities in one day; corporate accounts cover invoicing.
- Sports teams. Usually airliner-sized aircraft plus coaches, coordinated with concert and sports transportation.
- Weddings. Guests flying in, or a couple leaving for the honeymoon; wedding planners get one contact for flights and cars.
Charter types explained
On-demand charter
The standard model: you name the route and time, an operator quotes a specific aircraft, and you pay for that trip only. No membership, no commitment beyond the flight. It suits most first-time charter clients.
One way or round trip
A one-way charter can cost more than people expect, because the operator may have to bring the aircraft back to base empty, and that leg may be priced into the quote. A round trip keeps the aircraft and crew with you, waiting at the destination or flying home and returning for you. For a same-day trip the aircraft normally waits.
Empty legs (repositioning flights)
When an aircraft has to fly empty to collect its next client or return home, the operator may offer that leg to someone else. The departure time is set by the original booking, the route is fixed, and the flight can move or cancel if the original client changes plans. We treat an empty leg as a bonus when one matches your trip, never as the plan.
Jet cards and memberships
Prepaid or deposit programmes sold by operators and brokers. They trade money up front for agreed hourly rates and availability terms, with rules on peak days and daily minimums. We do not sell them; if you hold one, we can still book the chauffeur side of every flight.
Group and airliner charter
Sports teams, incentive trips and large wedding parties sometimes need a full-size airliner, flown by an airline under its own certificate. We pass the request on and plan coaches, Sprinters and luggage vans for arrival.
Air ambulance and medical flights
We do not arrange air ambulance or medical evacuation flights. They need specialist operators with medical crews; contact a medical transport provider or your insurer, and call 911 in an emergency. Once a patient travels as an ordinary passenger, our accessible transportation service can help on the ground.
Pet-friendly flights
Whether a dog or cat rides in the cabin is the operator's decision, aircraft by aircraft. We ask before we quote. The animal must also meet the import rules of the country you land in, set out on our customs and documents page.
Cross-border flights
Niagara sits on the border, so many requests cross it: Toronto to Teterboro, Niagara District to Florida, Buffalo to Montréal. The operator files the passenger manifest and clears customs at an airport with border service; your part is accurate passport details. Trips that continue by road across the bridges use our cross-border car service.
Niagara-area airports for private aircraft
The Falls have no runway, so private flights for Niagara use one of six airports. Distances are approximate road figures to the Table Rock area, without traffic or border waits.
| Airport | Codes | Road distance to Niagara Falls ON | Private aviation notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Niagara District Airport, Niagara-on-the-Lake | YCM / CYSN | about 17 km (11 mi), around 15–20 min | 5,000 ft main runway, Allied Aviation FBO, airport of entry with CBSA customs 7 days a week |
| Buffalo Niagara International | BUF / KBUF | about 42 km (26 mi) plus a bridge | Signature Buffalo Niagara, open 24 hours, on-site customs and immigration |
| Niagara Falls International, New York | IAG / KIAG | about 14 km (9 mi) plus a bridge | 10,825 ft runway, 24 hours, no curfew, Calspan Air Services FBO |
| John C. Munro Hamilton International | YHM / CYHM | about 90 km (56 mi), around 1 h 20 min | Onward Aviation FBO, available 24/7 |
| Toronto Pearson International | YYZ / CYYZ | about 122 km (76 mi), around 1 h 35 min | Signature Toronto (24/7) and Execaire Aviation; one of eight Canadian airports where CBSA clears business flights from the US of up to 39 people |
| Billy Bishop Toronto City | YTZ / CYTZ | about 127 km (79 mi), around 1 h 40 min | Porter FBO on the island; a 2026 plan to open the airport to jets was rejected, so plan on turboprops |
Niagara District Airport is the closest. The airport puts it 10–15 minutes from the Falls tourism district, Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake and downtown St. Catharines, and lists customs from 8 a.m. to midnight. Its airport-of-entry category covers small loads (15 people including crew), so bigger aircraft and groups often use Hamilton or Pearson. See our Niagara District Airport page.
Toronto Pearson takes every size of business jet, and Signature lists on-site customs and immigration at its private terminal, which makes it a common choice for transatlantic arrivals; see Toronto Pearson transfers. Buffalo Niagara and Niagara Falls International suit US-registered flights and passengers clearing US customs first, followed by the drive over the Rainbow Bridge or the Peace Bridge. Hamilton is quieter than Pearson and an easy run down the QEW; our Hamilton airport page has the route. Every FBO we serve across North America is in the FBO directory.
Private jet, airline or road: an honest comparison
| Way to travel | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Scheduled airline | longest: check-in, security, gate, connections | per seat, published fares | airline allowances | solo travellers on major routes |
| Private jet charter | shortest on most routes over 500 km | quote per trip for the whole aircraft | set by the aircraft's hold | groups, tight schedules, privacy |
| Jet card or membership | as charter | prepaid or deposit terms | as charter | people flying many hours a year |
| Driving yourself | depends on distance and border | fuel, tolls, parking | whatever fits | short regional trips |
| Chauffeured car | as driving, without the driving | fixed fare via the booker | by vehicle class | Toronto, Buffalo, Rochester and trips under about 400 km |
| Train or bus | fixed timetable | published fares | limited | budget city-centre trips |
Be honest about distance. Toronto to Niagara Falls is about 130 km by road, and a chauffeured car usually beats a charter once you count the drives to and from the airfields; the same goes for Buffalo and Hamilton. Charter wins on trips such as Niagara to New York City, Chicago, Ottawa, Montréal or Florida, where the road takes most of a day. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide covers the shorter trips.
What affects a private jet charter quote
We do not publish charter prices and will not guess one before an operator has looked at your trip. These factors move the quote:
- Aircraft size. A turboprop or light jet costs less per hour than a large-cabin jet; our aircraft types guide shows what each class carries.
- Distance and flight time. Most quotes are built on flight hours plus taxi time.
- Positioning. If the nearest suitable aircraft is based in Montréal, the flight to collect you is part of the cost.
- Overnight crew. Pilots have strict duty limits; long waits or overnights add crew hotels and meals.
- Winter de-icing. From late autumn to spring an aircraft parked outdoors may need de-icing fluid before departure, charged by the FBO.
- Airport and FBO fees. Handling, ramp parking, landing and hangar fees vary by airport.
- Landing slots and permissions. Busy airports and special events can require prior permission or a slot, and some restrict night movements.
- International costs. After-hours customs, overflight permits and foreign handling agents.
- Catering, pets and extras, and taxes, which the operator itemises on the quote.
How to book a private jet charter in 3 steps
- Send the request form. Route, dates, times, passengers, bags and anything unusual such as pets, skis or golf clubs. We ask licensed operators with suitable aircraft to quote.
- Approve the written quote. It names the operator, the aircraft type and what is included. You review and sign the operator's charter agreement, including its cancellation terms.
- Send documents and choose your cars. We collect each passenger's details exactly as printed on the passport for the operator's manifest (see customs and documents) and schedule cars at both FBOs, timed to the flight.
On the day you arrive at the FBO a short time before departure, walk through the lounge and board. For the ground leg alone, such as a pickup at Pearson's private terminal after a flight someone else booked, use the online booker: the fixed fare shows before you pay.
Request a charter quote
The request form on this page asks for what an operator needs to quote properly:
- departure and arrival airports (or just the towns); one way, round trip or multi-leg
- dates and preferred times, and how flexible they are
- adults, children, infants and pets
- bags, plus oversized items such as golf bags or skis
- aircraft or cabin preference (stand-up cabin, lavatory, Wi-Fi)
- cars needed at each end
- your name, email and phone
Sending the form is a request for a quote, not a booking. No flight is held and nothing is charged until you approve a written quote and sign the operator's agreement.
The ground side: our chauffeurs at both ends
At the departure FBO the chauffeur arrives early, loads the bags and hands them to the line crew. On arrival the chauffeur tracks the tail number and waits in the FBO lobby or, where the FBO allows vehicles airside, beside the aircraft. Ramp access is always the FBO's decision. Our meet and greet service explains lobby pickups, the fleet page shows which vehicle suits your group and luggage, and travellers heading to a hotel can browse Fallsview hotels.

Frequently asked questions
Does NiagaraFallsLimo.net own or operate the aircraft?
No. We are a booking agent. Every flight we arrange is operated by a licensed air carrier that holds operational control of the aircraft and employs the crew. The operator is named on your written quote and on the charter agreement you sign, so you know exactly who is flying you before you pay.
How much does it cost to charter a private jet from Niagara Falls?
We do not publish charter prices, because every quote depends on the aircraft, flight time, where the aircraft is based, crew overnights, de-icing, airport fees and taxes. Send the request form with your route and passenger count, and we will return a written quote from a licensed operator for your exact trip.
What is the closest airport to Niagara Falls for a private jet?
Niagara District Airport (YCM) in Niagara-on-the-Lake is about 17 km from the Falls, with a 5,000-foot main runway and CBSA customs seven days a week. On the US side, Niagara Falls International (IAG) is about 14 km away by road, but you then cross the border by car.
Can a private jet fly from Niagara to New York City?
Yes. Charter flights to the New York area often land at a business aviation airport such as Teterboro or Westchester County rather than JFK or LaGuardia. The operator files the US manifest and clears customs on arrival, and our New York chauffeurs meet the aircraft at the FBO.
How far ahead should I book a private jet charter?
As early as you can for long weekends, major events and winter holidays, when suitable aircraft are in demand. Short-notice trips are often possible when an aircraft and crew are free nearby, but the choice narrows. Send the request form and we will tell you what is realistic for your dates.
Can I bring my dog on a charter flight?
Often, but it is the operator's decision for each aircraft, so we ask before quoting. Your dog must also meet the import rules where you land, which can include a rabies certificate, a microchip or a minimum age. Our customs and documents page explains the current Canadian and US rules.
What happens on the ground when we land?
Your chauffeur tracks the flight, waits in the FBO lobby or, where the FBO allows it, beside the aircraft, and loads your bags. From Niagara District Airport the drive to the Fallsview hotels usually takes under 20 minutes; from Toronto Pearson allow about 1 h 35 min off-peak.
