A Niagara Falls wedding limo is only one piece of a day that runs on a timeline, and transport is the part guests notice only when it goes wrong. NiagaraFallsLimo.net plans wedding transportation in Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake as one schedule: the couple's car, the wedding party, shuttles for guests, the photo stops, and the last run back to the hotel. Every vehicle is booked through the same online booker, each with a fixed fare shown before you pay.
What does a Niagara Falls wedding limo service include?
NiagaraFallsLimo.net provides chauffeured Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Maybach, stretch limousines and Sprinters for weddings in Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 24 km (15 mi) apart, usually 30 minutes. Book the couple's car by the hour and guest shuttles as multi-stop runs; the online booker shows each fixed all-in fare before payment.
What we do not do: decorate venues, supply drinks or act as a planner. We work alongside your planner, venue coordinator and photographer, and the chauffeur arrives with the day's timeline already in hand.
Building the wedding day around the cars
Most Niagara weddings use three kinds of vehicle on the day.
The couple's car. Usually booked "By the hour" from the getting-ready location through the ceremony, photographs and arrival at the reception. Rolls-Royce and Mercedes-Maybach each carry up to 2 passengers, availability confirmed at booking. The Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class (up to 2) is a quieter alternative.
The wedding party. A Stretch Limousine takes up to 8; a Stretch SUV Limousine up to 16. Both have minimal luggage space, which is rarely an issue on a wedding day but matters for bouquets, a garment bag or a photographer's kit. More detail is on the stretch limo and Sprinter page.
Guest shuttles. An Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz, up to 12 passengers) running between the hotel block and the venue, with coaches on request for larger guest lists. Shuttles keep guests from driving, solve parking at small wineries and inns, and make sure everyone arrives before the processional. Larger moves are covered on the group transportation page.
A sample timeline
Every wedding is different, but a typical Niagara-on-the-Lake day with a Falls hotel block might look like this:

- 12:30 Couple's car collects one partner at a Niagara-on-the-Lake inn; the wedding party's stretch collects the other half of the party at a Fallsview hotel, about 24 km (15 mi) away.
- 14:00 First guest shuttle leaves the hotel block for the ceremony.
- 15:00 Ceremony.
- 15:45 Couple and wedding party leave for photographs: vineyard rows, the Old Town, the Niagara Parkway.
- 17:00 Arrival at the reception.
- 22:30 to 00:30 Shuttle loops back to the hotel block, every 30 – 45 minutes depending on distance.
- Late Couple's car to the wedding-night hotel.
Build in slack between each step. In summer, the Parkway and the Old Town are busy, and a photo session nearly always runs long. Planners juggling several vendors can coordinate directly with us through the event and wedding planners page.
Photo stops along the river and in wine country
Niagara offers a lot of backdrops within a short drive. Some practical notes:
- Niagara Parks gardens and parkland. Niagara Parks says on its wedding FAQ that no permit is required to take photos in any of its outdoor locations, and asks that you respect ceremonies booked there, since those couples have paid for exclusive use. Popular spots include the Botanical Gardens and the Floral Clock; see Niagara Glen and the Botanical Gardens.
- Queen Victoria Park and the Falls. The closest backdrop to the Horseshoe Falls, but often crowded on summer weekends. Early or late light, and patience, help.
- Vineyards. Wineries are private property. If your venue is not a winery, ask any estate before stopping in its rows; our list of Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries is a starting point.
- Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake. Queen Street's heritage buildings and the lakeshore make good backgrounds, with pedestrian crowds on weekends.
Tell us the stops in advance. The chauffeur will know where the car can wait and where it has to circle.
Ontario marriage licence: pointers for couples marrying in Niagara
Transport is the easy part; paperwork comes first. A few points, with official sources:
- You need a valid Ontario marriage licence (or, in limited cases, banns). Ontario's getting married page says a licence is valid for 3 months from the date it was issued, and that witnesses and the officiant sign it immediately after the ceremony.
- The City of Niagara Falls issues licences by appointment. Its marriage licences page says the licence is valid for 90 days anywhere in Ontario, that one piece of ID must be a birth certificate or passport and the second a government-issued photo ID, and that health cards are not accepted.
- Couples coming from the US should leave time. The City specifically advises American couples to plan for possible travel or bridge delays if they apply and marry on the same day.
- Divorce outside Canada needs extra validation through ServiceOntario, which the City says may take up to four weeks.
If one of you is crossing from New York on the day, add a cushion to the timeline and make sure each person carries their own document; see what you need to enter Canada.
Guests flying in
Many Niagara weddings have guests arriving from across Canada, the US and overseas. We can meet them at Buffalo Niagara International, about 40 km (25 mi) from the Falls plus the border queue, or at Toronto Pearson, about 125 km (78 mi), usually 1 h 30 – 1 h 50. Flight tracking is standard, and meet & greet with a name board is an option in the booker. A planner can book a whole arrival day as separate transfers.
Choosing the hotels for the wedding party
Couples often split between two places: a Fallsview hotel close to the Falls for photographs, and a heritage inn in Niagara-on-the-Lake near wine-country venues. The Fallsview hotels page explains each pickup point on Fallsview Boulevard; in the Old Town, the Pillar and Post at 48 John Street West and the Prince of Wales Hotel at 6 Picton Street are within a few minutes of each other. Knowing the exact pickup door saves minutes on the day.
Alcohol and wedding cars: the rule
Toasts happen at the venue, not in the car. Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire By-law 2021-58 says a licensed driver must not permit the consumption of any alcohol in the vehicle, and Ontario's Liquor Licence and Control Act has no limousine exception. That applies to the couple's car, the stretch and the guest shuttles. If you would like a bottle waiting for the couple as a gift to take away, a sealed bottle can be added in the booker. Our chauffeurs never drink.
Niagara Falls wedding limo vs other options
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guests drive themselves | Flexible, but parking at small venues is limited | Fuel and parking per car | Their own | Local guests who will not drink |
| Taxi or rideshare | Waits at late hours and in rural NOTL | Metered or surge pricing per ride | Whatever car arrives | A few guests leaving early |
| Hotel or venue shuttle | Only if the venue offers one | Set by the venue | Limited | Single-site weddings |
| Rental car for the couple | You drive on your wedding day | Rental and fuel | Trunk | Small, informal elopements |
| Private chauffeur (NiagaraFallsLimo.net) | Timed to your schedule, waits between steps | Fixed fare via booker for every vehicle | Bouquets, garment bags, kit | Couples, wedding parties, guest shuttles |
For a tiny elopement at City Hall with two witnesses who can walk back to the hotel, a single sedan or even a taxi may be all you need. For a multi-site wedding with a guest list, pre-booked chauffeurs keep the schedule intact and keep guests off the road after the reception.
Who our wedding service suits
Couples: elopements and intimate ceremonies, often in a Rolls-Royce or Maybach for the photographs. Proposal and anniversary trips are covered on the anniversary and proposal page, and planning ideas on our couples page.
Families: grandparents and young children in a Standard SUV with car seats fitted, so they arrive at the ceremony unhurried.
Groups: wedding parties of up to 16 in a Stretch SUV Limousine, and guest shuttles in Sprinters or coaches.
Individuals: the officiant, the photographer or a guest travelling alone from the airport.
How to book wedding transport in 3 steps
- Map the day. Enter each pickup and drop-off (hotels, ceremony, photo stops, reception) with times. Use "By the hour" for the couple's car and multi-stop for shuttles.
- Pick each vehicle. The booker shows a fixed fare for every class, so you can compare a Rolls-Royce with a Maybach, or one Sprinter with two.
- Add details and pay. Passenger numbers, child seats, a sealed gift bottle if you want one, notes for the chauffeur. Pay securely and confirmation follows by email.
If this is your first chauffeured booking, our how to book a limo guide walks through the booker. Compare classes on the fleet page, and see our other chauffeur services for the days around the wedding.
Cancellation and the wedding deadline
For an ordinary booking, cancelling more than 72 hours before the scheduled pickup is free, 72 hours or less costs 10%, 48 hours or less costs 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show costs 100%. Big weddings may carry a different deadline, which will be printed on your confirmation, so read it carefully when you book. Vehicles and chauffeurs are licensed and commercially insured.
Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should we book a wedding limo in Niagara?
As early as your date is fixed, especially for Saturdays from June to October. Rolls-Royce, Maybach and stretch vehicles have availability confirmed at booking, and the most popular weekends go first. Booking early also lets you lock the timeline and add guest shuttles once you know the numbers.
Can we have champagne in the wedding limo?
No. Under Niagara Region's by-law the chauffeur cannot allow anyone to drink in the car, and Ontario's liquor law has no exception for wedding limousines. Save the toast for the venue. If you would like a gift for the couple, a sealed bottle can be added in the booker to take away.
How many guests fit in each vehicle?
Rolls-Royce, Maybach and Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class take up to 2. A Stretch Limousine takes up to 8, an Executive Sprinter up to 12 and a Stretch SUV Limousine up to 16. Coaches are available on request for larger guest lists. Seat counts are firm, since every passenger needs a seat and a belt.
Do we need a permit for wedding photos at Niagara Parks?
Niagara Parks says no permit is required to take photos in any of its outdoor locations. It asks couples to respect ceremonies taking place there, because those couples have paid for exclusive use. Indoor locations and booked ceremony sites have their own rules, so check with Niagara Parks for anything beyond outdoor photographs.
Can you collect US guests and bring them across the border?
Yes. The chauffeur drives across the bridge with your guests as normal service. Each passenger must carry their own valid document, such as a passport, and nobody can predict queue times, so build a cushion into arrival plans. We can also meet guests at Buffalo Niagara International.
Where do we get a marriage licence in Niagara Falls?
The City of Niagara Falls issues Ontario marriage licences by appointment through the Clerk's office. The City says the licence is valid for 90 days anywhere in Ontario. You need two pieces of ID, one a birth certificate or passport, and health cards are not accepted. Check the City's page for current hours.
What is the cancellation policy for weddings?
The standard terms run from more than 72 hours' notice free of charge to 100% at 24 hours or less or a no-show. Big weddings may carry a different deadline, which appears on your confirmation. Read it when you book, and tell us early if guest numbers change.
