Clifton Hill is the short, steep street of family attractions, arcades, haunted houses, restaurants and the Niagara SkyWheel that runs down toward the river in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Its own visitor site gives the address as 4960 Clifton Hill and places it one block from the Horseshoe Falls along the Niagara River. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drops guests at the top or the bottom of the hill, depending on traffic, and collects them again late at night when taxi lines are long. This page is the practical version: the street layout, parking, passes, timing and how to fold Clifton Hill into a bigger day.
How do you get to Clifton Hill by limo or car service?
NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives you to Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Ontario, dropping you at the top on Victoria Avenue or the bottom near Falls Avenue. From Toronto Pearson it is about 120 km (75 mi), usually 1 h 30 – 1 h 45 off-peak. Enter pickup, Clifton Hill and your vehicle in the booker to see the fixed fare.
From Pearson, the drive follows the QEW around Lake Ontario and Highway 420 into the city, then Stanley Avenue and Victoria Avenue to the top of the hill. From a Fallsview hotel it is about 1–2 km, a few minutes by car. From Niagara-on-the-Lake it is about 22 km (14 mi), usually 30 minutes. From Buffalo, cross the Rainbow Bridge; its Canadian plaza is a few minutes from the bottom of the hill, and every passenger needs their own valid documents.
How the street is laid out
Think of Clifton Hill as a ramp between two levels of the city:
- The top meets Victoria Avenue, a main north–south street with hotels, restaurants and the entrance to the large Clifton Hill parking lot beside the SkyWheel.
- The bottom meets Falls Avenue near the Niagara Parkway and the river, where the Falls Avenue Resort hotels, Casino Niagara and the Rainbow Bridge approach sit close together.
The hill itself is lined with attractions on both sides and is busy with pedestrians from late morning until well after midnight in summer. Cars move slowly, and stopping in the middle of the hill holds up everyone behind. That is why our chauffeurs choose one end or the other.
Where the chauffeur drops you and picks you up
Top of the hill (Victoria Avenue). Best when you are heading for the SkyWheel, the mini golf or dinner on Victoria, and when you are coming from Fallsview or Lundy's Lane. The chauffeur sets you down on Victoria Avenue as close to the corner as is legal and safe.

Bottom of the hill (Falls Avenue). Best when you are combining Clifton Hill with Casino Niagara, the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark or a Falls Avenue hotel such as The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview or the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel. Hotel and casino driveways along Falls Avenue give a car somewhere sensible to pull in.
Late-night pickup. We agree the end of the hill in advance and you message the chauffeur when you are ten minutes away. On a Saturday in July, the top usually clears faster than the bottom.
Parking if you are driving yourself
The Clifton Hill parking information and the Niagara Falls Tourism parking guide describe the main lots:
- Clifton Hill lot: 700-plus spaces behind the SkyWheel, with entrances from Clifton Hill and from Victoria Avenue (the Victoria entrance is across from the Vittoria Hotel & Suites at 5851 Victoria Avenue). Exit onto Robinson Street is possible, but you cannot enter from Robinson. Niagara Falls Tourism notes the lot is security patrolled.
- Casino Niagara garage: about 1,500 covered paid spaces, reached from the casino's main driveway on Falls Avenue.
- Skylon Tower lots: on Robinson Street, a short walk uphill, with overnight and bus parking allowed in Lot B.
On a long weekend, the hunt for a space can take longer than the drive from your hotel. A chauffeur removes that step completely.
What is on the hill
The official site lists, among others:
- the Niagara SkyWheel, which it bills as Canada's largest giant wheel
- the Niagara Speedway go-kart track
- Dinosaur Adventure Golf and Wizards' Golf glow-in-the-dark mini putt
- Movieland Wax Museum, Ripley's Museum and the Great Canadian Midway arcade
- haunted attractions such as Creepy Castle and the Ghost Blasters dark ride
- Toy Store 4D and Carnival Chaos
- the Greg Frewin Theatre for magic shows
The Clifton Hill Fun Pass bundles six attractions, including the SkyWheel; the official site listed it at $34.95 for adults and $22.95 for children 12 and under, plus tax, as of 2026. Prices and the attraction mix change, so check before you buy.
The Niagara SkyWheel in detail
The SkyWheel rises 175 ft (about 53 m) above the falls area. Its 42 enclosed gondolas are heated and air-conditioned, each holding up to eight people, so it runs year-round in any weather. Rides last roughly 8–12 minutes. The wheel is wheelchair accessible, strollers have a designated area, and children must be at least 42 in tall to ride without an adult. Visitors with an Access2 Card can get a free admission for a support worker. Current hours are on the SkyWheel page; they run late into the night, longer on Fridays and Saturdays.
When to go: daytime, evening and the seasons
- Weekday mornings are the quietest time for families with young children.
- Evenings are what the hill is known for, with lit signs, live street noise and long hours at the SkyWheel. Summer Saturday evenings are the busiest of the year.
- Late October brings Frightmare in the Falls; the 2026 dates were October 23–25.
- Winter has its own draw. The Winter Festival of Lights runs from November 14, 2026 to January 10, 2027, with displays nightly from 5 pm to midnight along the Parkway, Fallsview and Lundy's Lane, and fireworks at 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays from November 14, then nightly from December 18 to January 2. The Winter Festival of Lights site has the details, and our Winter Festival of Lights guide covers the drive-through route.
For a night plan that includes the illuminated falls and the hill, see our Niagara Falls night tour.
How long to allow
A focused visit (SkyWheel plus one or two attractions) fits in about two hours. With a Fun Pass, dinner and a walk down to the river, plan four to five hours. Families with younger children often split it: a morning session, a rest at the hotel and a second visit after dark.
Accessibility and families
The SkyWheel is wheelchair accessible, but the hill itself is steep. Guests who find slopes difficult can be dropped at the end closest to their first stop and collected at the other end, so nobody walks the hill twice. Choose the wheelchair option and child seats when you book. Our Niagara Falls with kids page collects more tips for families.
Combining Clifton Hill with nearby sights
The hill connects easily to the rest of the falls area:
- Niagara City Cruises from the ticket plaza on the Niagara Parkway below the hill. A morning boat and an evening on the hill is a full, simple day. See Niagara City Cruises.
- The Skylon Tower, about 1 km away on Robinson Street, for dinner 775 ft above the falls. See our Skylon Tower guide.
- Casino Niagara at the bottom of the hill (adults 19 and over), or the larger Fallsview Casino Resort a short drive up the escarpment.
- The Fallsview Indoor Waterpark at 5685 Falls Avenue, connected to three Falls Avenue Resort hotels.
Check your fixed fare to Clifton Hill
A sample evening for a group of six from a Lundy's Lane hotel: 5:30 pm pickup in an Executive Black SUV, 6:00 pm dinner at the Skylon, 8:00 pm drop-off at the top of Clifton Hill, 11:00 pm pickup at the same corner. Nobody drives, nobody parks and nobody waits at a taxi rank. Note that drinking is not allowed in our vehicles; Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law prohibits it, and the chauffeur never drinks.
Ways to get to Clifton Hill compared
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Walking from a nearby hotel | 5–15 min | free | none | guests on Falls Avenue or Victoria Avenue |
| WEGO bus | depends on stop and wait | 24-hour adult pass $16, 48-hour $20, as of 2026 | day bags | hotel guests on a WEGO line |
| Taxi | short in town; queues late at night | metered | trunk space | one-way hops |
| Rideshare | varies with demand | surge pricing on busy nights | trunk space | solo travellers off-peak |
| Driving yourself | drive plus parking time | lot rates vary by season | your own car | people already driving |
| Private chauffeur | door to the hill and back | fixed fare via booker | sized to your group | groups, late nights, families with car seats, airport arrivals |
Plainly put: if your hotel is within a few blocks, walk to Clifton Hill and save the car for longer trips. A taxi is fine for a short daytime hop. A pre-booked chauffeur is the better choice when you are arriving from Pearson or Buffalo with luggage, travelling with children who need car seats, moving a group that won't fit in one cab, celebrating a bachelorette or birthday, or leaving at 1 am when taxi lines are long and rideshare prices surge. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide explains why.

Frequently asked questions
Is Clifton Hill walking distance from the falls?
Yes. Clifton Hill's own site places it one block from the Horseshoe Falls along the Niagara River. From the bottom of the hill you can walk along the Niagara Parkway to the falls viewpoints. Table Rock, at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls, is about 3 km by road, which many visitors prefer to cover by car, WEGO or the Incline Railway from Fallsview.
Where is the best place to be dropped off at Clifton Hill?
It depends on your first stop. The top, on Victoria Avenue, suits the SkyWheel, mini golf and Victoria Avenue restaurants. The bottom, on Falls Avenue, suits Casino Niagara, the waterpark and the Falls Avenue hotels. Avoid stopping halfway down the hill, where traffic is slowest and stopping blocks the street.
How much is parking at Clifton Hill?
Rates change by season and event, so check the Clifton Hill and Niagara Falls Tourism parking pages for current prices. The main Clifton Hill lot has 700-plus spaces with entrances from Clifton Hill and Victoria Avenue. With a chauffeur there is no parking to pay or find; the car drops you off and returns when you message.
What is included in the Clifton Hill Fun Pass?
The official site lists six attractions, including the Niagara SkyWheel, Creepy Castle, Ghost Blasters, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, Movieland Wax Museum and Toy Store 4D, with some swaps allowed. It was listed at $34.95 for adults and $22.95 for children 12 and under, plus tax, as of 2026. Confirm current inclusions before buying.
Is Clifton Hill open in winter?
Yes. Clifton Hill describes itself as a year-round destination, and the SkyWheel's enclosed, heated gondolas run every season. Hours shorten in the colder months for some attractions. In winter the hill sits on the Winter Festival of Lights route, which runs from November 14, 2026 to January 10, 2027.
Is Clifton Hill good for kids?
It is built around families: mini golf, arcades, go-karts, the SkyWheel and themed attractions. Some haunted attractions are intense for small children, so read descriptions first. For young families, a morning visit is calmer, and a chauffeur with child seats installed avoids walking the steep hill with tired children.
Can I get a limo for a night out on Clifton Hill?
Yes. Stretch limousines, stretch SUV limousines, party buses and Executive Sprinters are all bookable for evenings, with stretch and party bus availability confirmed at booking. Drinking in the vehicle is not allowed under Niagara Region's by-law, but the car takes you between dinner, the hill and your hotel so nobody drives.
How far is Clifton Hill from Niagara-on-the-Lake?
About 22 km (14 mi) along the Niagara Parkway or the QEW, usually around 30 minutes outside summer weekend traffic. Many guests pair a winery afternoon in Niagara-on-the-Lake with an evening on Clifton Hill, with one chauffeur for both.
