Plenty of visitors to Niagara end up with a casino on each side of the river in the same weekend. On the New York side, Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino stands a few blocks from the American Falls in downtown Niagara Falls, New York. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives guests there from Ontario hotels over the Rainbow Bridge, from Buffalo Niagara International, and back again at whatever hour the evening ends, so no one in the group has to drive or worry about whether a late ride will cross the border.
How far is Seneca Niagara Casino from the Canadian side, and how do I get there?
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is at 310 4th Street, Niagara Falls, New York, about 3.5 km (2 mi) from Table Rock in Ontario, usually 8–10 minutes by car over the Rainbow Bridge plus the US border queue. NiagaraFallsLimo.net crosses with you, waits or returns for the late ride home, and shows a fixed fare in the online booker before you pay.
From a Clifton Hill hotel the distance is shorter still, roughly 2 km (1 mi) to the bridge and a few blocks beyond. From Buffalo Niagara International (BUF) it is about 39 km (24 mi), usually 40 minutes, and from Niagara Falls International (IAG) about 13 km (8 mi), roughly 16 minutes. From Toronto Pearson, the trip is about 125 km (78 mi), usually 1 h 40 – 2 h off-peak before the border, and much longer on a summer Friday.
What is at Seneca Niagara
From the casino's official site, checked in October 2026:
- Gaming: more than 2,700 slot machines and over 80 live table games.
- Hotel: rooms the resort bills as AAA Four Diamond, including fallside room types; guest-room renovations are planned, with updated rooms described as coming in 2027.
- Dining: the resort counts nine dining options; names on the site include The Western Door Steakhouse, la Cascata, Koi, Three Sisters Café and Full.Plate Eatery.
- Golf: the resort runs the Hickory Stick Golf Club, which our golf transportation page can link into a stay.
The casino is described as within walking distance of the falls, so a visit can begin with the American Falls at Niagara Falls State Park and end at the tables.
Seneca Niagara or Fallsview: how they compare
Guests staying in Ontario often weigh the two. The figures below come from each operator's own website as of October 2026.

Both Ontario casinos require guests to be 19 or older, according to Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara. New York rules are separate, so if anyone in your group is young, check Seneca Niagara's own age policy before you plan the night. Read more on our Fallsview Casino Resort page.
The crossing, both ways
Going over. The Rainbow Bridge is the closest crossing and is listed by US Customs and Border Protection as open 24 hours a day. Cars and limousines use it. No toll is charged entering the US. Our Rainbow Bridge page explains the approach roads and lanes.
Coming back. On the return the toll is collected entering Canada, and our chauffeur pays it as part of the trip. The NEXUS-only Whirlpool Rapids Bridge closes overnight, from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., so late returns run over the Rainbow Bridge; even outside those hours a vehicle may use Whirlpool only if every occupant holds NEXUS, as our Whirlpool Rapids Bridge page explains.
Waiting times. We do not predict them. Look at CBP Border Wait Times before leaving Canada and the CBSA's border-wait page before heading home. Weekend evenings and holidays are the busiest.
Reserve your casino night chauffeur
Documents, cash and what to declare
Each passenger must carry their own document. For Canadian and US citizens that means a passport, an enhanced driver's licence or a trusted-traveller card such as NEXUS; US citizens may also use a passport card. Visitors from overseas generally need a passport, an approved ESTA or visa, and an I-94 with its US$30 land-border fee. Full lists are on our entering the USA and entering Canada pages.
Two points specific to casino trips:
- Cash. The Canada Border Services Agency requires anyone carrying currency or monetary instruments worth CA$10,000 or more to declare it every time they cross; there is no limit on how much you may carry, only a duty to declare.
- Cannabis. It is illegal to carry across this border in either direction, whatever its legal status where you live.
How the evening runs with a chauffeur
- Pickup. Your chauffeur meets you in the lobby or at the porte-cochère of your hotel, whether one of the Fallsview hotels, the Fallsview Casino Resort hotel or an inn further out.
- The bridge. A short drive down to the Rainbow Bridge plaza, US inspection, and a few city blocks to the casino entrance.
- The night. On an hourly booking the car stays close; on a return booking, you choose the pickup time and can message if plans change.
- The return. The chauffeur collects you at the entrance and drives back over the bridge into Canada and to your hotel door.
There is no drinking in our vehicles. Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law does not allow it, and the chauffeur never drinks. What a casino guest gains is simpler: nobody in the group has to drive home after a long night, and nobody is standing on 4th Street at 2 a.m. hoping a ride from the Canadian side will cross.
Timing dinner, a show or a hotel check-in
The border is the one part of the evening you cannot schedule, so build the plan backwards from anything with a fixed time. If you have a dinner reservation at the resort or tickets for a performance, choose a pickup time that leaves room for a slow queue at the Rainbow Bridge, then treat any spare minutes as time at the tables. If you are checking in at the resort hotel, add your bags and the number of passengers in the booker so the right vehicle arrives; a Standard SUV takes up to six people and six bags. Winter evenings deserve extra margin, since snow on the QEW and the bridge approaches slows everything down, and your chauffeur will drive to the conditions rather than the clock.
Getting to Seneca Niagara: the options
| Mode | Time from a Fallsview hotel | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private chauffeur | 8–10 min plus border queues | Fixed fare via booker | Overnight bags fine | Couples, groups, late returns |
| Walk via the Rainbow Bridge | Depends on the walk and inspection | Pedestrian toll US$1.00 / CA$1.25 on the Canadian side (as of 2026) | Small bag | Fit guests on Clifton Hill, daytime |
| Taxi | Similar, if it crosses | Metered; not every cab crosses | Trunk | Guests already staying in Niagara Falls NY |
| Rideshare | Often unable to cross | Surge pricing on busy nights | Depends | Rides on the US side only |
| Driving yourself | 8–10 min plus queues | Toll back into Canada and parking | Your trunk | Only if someone stays sober to drive |
When a taxi or walking is better: if you are already staying at a hotel in Niagara Falls, New York, a cab across town is simple; and on a summer afternoon, a fit couple on Clifton Hill can walk the bridge. When a chauffeur is the better call: late-night returns, groups, guests arriving from BUF or Toronto with bags, birthday or bachelor nights, and anyone who wants a known driver and a vehicle that will definitely cross back. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide looks at the trade-offs, and the casino limo page covers casino transfers on both sides.
Making a weekend of it
- Daytime US side: the Maid of the Mist and Goat Island in the afternoon, dinner at the resort, casino in the evening.
- Two casinos, two countries: Fallsview one night, Seneca the next.
- Celebrations: stag, stagette and milestone birthday groups book a Stretch SUV Limousine (up to 16) or an Executive Sprinter (up to 12); see bachelor and bachelorette limo.
- Arriving by air: guests flying into Buffalo Niagara International can go straight to Seneca and cross into Canada later in the stay.
For more evening ideas, see our Niagara nightlife guide and the attractions hub.
Who it suits
- Individuals: a solo guest gets a reliable return across the border at any hour.
- Couples: dinner, a show or the tables, and a car at the door when you are ready.
- Families: sightseeing on the US side by day works well with car seats from the booker; the gaming floor follows the casino's own age rules.
- Groups: one vehicle, one driver, and every passenger clearing the border on their own documents; see group trips to Niagara.

Frequently asked questions
Is Seneca Niagara Casino in Canada or the USA?
It is in the USA, at 310 4th Street in downtown Niagara Falls, New York, a few blocks from the American Falls. From the Canadian side you cross the Rainbow Bridge, so every passenger needs a document accepted at US land borders.
How far is Seneca Niagara from Fallsview Casino?
Roughly 3.5–4 km (about 2 mi) by road, usually under 15 minutes of driving, but the border inspection in between can add far more than the drive itself. Nobody can promise a crossing time, so plan the evening with a generous margin, especially on weekends.
Can I get a ride back to Canada late at night?
Yes. Book a return pickup time or an hourly chauffeur, and the car collects you at the casino entrance and drives back over the Rainbow Bridge, which CBP lists as open 24 hours. The NEXUS-only Whirlpool Rapids Bridge closes at 11 p.m., so late returns use the Rainbow Bridge.
Can I drink in the limo on the way to the casino?
No. There is no drinking in our vehicles. Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law forbids a driver to permit alcohol consumption in the vehicle, and Ontario law has no limousine exception. The chauffeur never drinks, and the real benefit is that no one in your group has to drive.
Do I need a passport to go to Seneca Niagara from Ontario?
Yes, or another document accepted at US land borders: an enhanced driver's licence or a NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST card for Canadians and Americans, or a passport card for US citizens. Overseas visitors usually need a passport, an approved ESTA or visa and an I-94.
Is Seneca Niagara bigger than Fallsview Casino?
By the operators' own figures, Fallsview lists more than 3,200 slots and 110 tables, while Seneca Niagara lists more than 2,700 slots and over 80 tables. Fallsview also has two theatres hosting more than 320 shows a year. Many visitors try both in one trip.
How much is a car from Niagara Falls, Ontario to Seneca Niagara?
The online booker shows the fixed all-in fare for your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle before you pay, including the return or hourly time you choose. There is no meter, no surge on busy nights, and the bridge toll on the way back is handled by the chauffeur.
