Anyone planning a private jet Niagara Falls arrival soon learns that the aircraft lands somewhere other than Niagara Falls. Business aircraft use a fixed-base operator, or FBO: the private terminal beside the runway where crews refuel, passengers clear customs and cars collect them. The closest large FBOs are in Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo, plus a 24-hour airfield at Niagara Falls, New York. NiagaraFallsLimo.net meets the aircraft's passengers at whichever FBO the flight department chooses, with a chauffeur who tracks the tail number's arrival and a fixed fare agreed in the booker before anyone takes off.
Where does a private jet land for Niagara Falls?
Private jets for Niagara Falls usually land at Toronto Pearson (Signature, about 122 km), Hamilton (Onward Aviation, about 90 km), Buffalo Niagara (Signature, about 42 km plus the border) or Niagara Falls International in New York (Calspan, about 14 km). NiagaraFallsLimo.net meets passengers at the FBO; enter the FBO and destination in the booker to see the fixed fare.
Which one suits you depends on where the aircraft is coming from, whether passengers need to clear Canadian or US customs, and where they are going after landing. The rest of this page is written for passengers, executive assistants and flight departments planning that decision.
The FBOs we serve, airport by airport
Toronto Pearson (YYZ): Signature Toronto
Signature Toronto operates at 2450 Derry Road East and is open 24 hours a day. It offers on-site customs and immigration, with limited hours on weekdays, plus deicing, a heated hangar, conference rooms, showers and vehicle parking. From there to the Fallsview district is about 122 km (76 mi), usually 1 h 30 to 1 h 45 off-peak via the QEW, and over 2 hours on a summer Friday afternoon. Because the customs hours are limited, check the clearance plan with the FBO when filing; that tells us when passengers will actually be ready. The main Toronto Pearson transfer page covers commercial terminals.
Hamilton (YHM): Onward Aviation
At John C. Munro Hamilton International, Onward Aviation runs a full-service FBO at Hangar #4, 9300 Airport Road, Mount Hope. It is available 24/7 and has heated hangarage. Hamilton is about 90 km (56 mi) from the falls by road, usually 1 h 10 to 1 h 25, and it avoids the Toronto traffic entirely for flights arriving from the west. See the Hamilton airport page.
Buffalo Niagara (BUF): Signature Buffalo Niagara
The former Prior Aviation and TAC Air facility now operates as Signature Buffalo Niagara, at 50 N Airport Drive in Cheektowaga, New York. It is open around the clock, with on-site customs and immigration and a heated overnight hangar. The falls are about 42 km (26 mi) away, usually 45 to 55 minutes plus the land border. That crossing is the trade-off: passengers clear US customs on landing and Canadian customs again at the bridge. See the Buffalo Niagara airport page.
Niagara Falls International (IAG), New York: Calspan Air Services
IAG has a 10,825 ft main runway and operates 24 hours with no curfew. Its FBO, Calspan Air Services, provides refuelling, deicing, crew cars, ground handling and overnight corporate-jet hangaring around the clock, as listed on the airport's FBO page. It is the closest jet-capable field to the falls, about 14 km (9 mi) from the Fallsview hotels, usually 20 to 25 minutes plus the Lewiston-Queenston or Rainbow Bridge crossing. The airport itself warns that rideshare services may not cross the border, which is one reason guests pre-book. See the Niagara Falls International page.
Billy Bishop Toronto City (YTZ): Porter FBO
Porter FBO sits at Hangar #6 at Billy Bishop, with weekday hours from 05:30 to 23:00. Billy Bishop is on the Toronto Islands, about 127 km (79 mi) from the falls by road. It suits passengers combining downtown Toronto meetings with an evening in Niagara. Since March 10, 2026, Billy Bishop has offered US preclearance for departing US-bound passengers. See the Billy Bishop airport page.
Niagara District Airport and Rochester
Niagara District Airport, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, is a regional general-aviation field about 15 to 20 km from the falls and minutes from the wineries. Services and customs availability there should be confirmed with the airport or your operator before planning an international arrival; see our Niagara District Airport page. Further afield, Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International has two FBOs, USAirports Flight Support and AVFLIGHT Rochester, about 138 km (86 mi) and roughly 1 h 55 from the falls before the border; see the Rochester page.
Customs: what the passengers should know
Private flights clear customs at the destination country's first point of landing, under rules the operator manages. For aircraft entering Canada, the CBSA's telephone reporting rules require the pilot to report at least two hours and no more than 48 hours before arrival, with each person's name, date of birth and citizenship, and to update the report if the arrival time changes by more than 30 minutes. General-aviation procedures cover aircraft carrying no more than 15 passengers.

For us, the practical points are simple:
- Tell us where clearance happens. If passengers clear at the FBO, the chauffeur waits there. If the FBO's customs hours do not cover the arrival, the plan changes, and we need to know.
- Landing in the US and driving into Canada means a second inspection at the bridge. Every passenger then needs documents accepted for land entry to Canada; see documents for entering Canada.
- Delays are normal. We track the flight; you do not pay the price of a late slot in stress.
Private jet arrivals: how an FBO meet works
- Before departure. The booking holds the FBO name, the aircraft's expected arrival, passenger count and bags, plus the destination. Assistants can add notes such as preferred water, the temperature in the car or a name not to display on the board.
- Tracking. The chauffeur follows the flight and adjusts to the actual arrival time.
- The meet. The chauffeur arrives before landing and meets the passengers at the point the FBO designates for vehicles, whether its lobby, its curb or, where the FBO arranges it, planeside. Meet & greet with a name board is a booker option.
- Bags. Luggage moves from the handler to the vehicle. Golf bags, wine cases and garment bags are welcome if the class you booked has the space.
- The drive. Straight to the hotel, winery or meeting. The chauffeur does not discuss clients and an NDA is available on request.
Discretion and security
Many private-aviation clients value privacy more than anything else. Our chauffeurs are discreet as standard, do not photograph or post about passengers, and sign NDAs when asked. We are not a security company. A VIP security add-on exists in the booker, and when a client travels with their own protection team we work alongside it, following the team's routing and timing.
Choosing the vehicle
- Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class: up to 2 passengers, 2 bags. The standard executive choice.
- Mercedes-Maybach or Rolls-Royce: up to 2 passengers, 2 bags; availability confirmed at booking.
- Executive Black SUV (Escalade / Navigator): up to 6 passengers, 6 bags. For families and for luggage-heavy arrivals.
- Executive Jet Sprinter: up to 6 passengers, 2 bags. A spacious cabin for a small delegation that wants to keep working.
- Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz): room for 12 passengers with carry-on bags only. Crew and passengers together, or a full aircraft of guests with luggage following separately.
Larger parties can book two vehicles or request a coach. Vehicles are "or similar", with the specific model confirmed at booking. Browse the fleet.
After landing: where passengers go next
Most FBO arrivals head to a Fallsview tower suite, a Niagara-on-the-Lake inn such as the Prince of Wales Hotel, or straight to lunch at a winery; see our Fallsview hotels guide and the Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries guide. For a full day on the ground, book by the hour or use our private chauffeur service. For guests landing on the US side and staying in Canada, the cross-border car service explains the bridge crossing.
FBO arrival options compared
| Mode | Time from FBO door to departure | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Taxi called to the FBO | Depends on availability; can be 20 – 40 min | Metered | Sedan or van | One passenger, no time pressure |
| Rideshare | Driver availability varies at private terminals | Surge pricing | Depends on the car | Crew travelling light to a nearby hotel |
| Rental car delivered to the FBO | Paperwork at handover | Rental, fuel, insurance | Your choice of car | Passengers who want to drive themselves |
| Hotel car | Where the hotel offers one | Set by the hotel | Varies | Guests of hotels with their own fleet |
| Private chauffeur (NiagaraFallsLimo.net) | Waiting before landing, flight tracked | Fixed fare via booker, shown before payment | Matched to the class | Executives, families, cross-border arrivals, VIP guests |
The honest view: a crew member heading to a hotel five minutes away does not need a chauffeur; a taxi works. A principal who prefers to drive can have a rental delivered. A pre-booked chauffeur is the better choice when passengers want to step off the aircraft and into a known car, when luggage or a family is involved, when a border lies between the airfield and the hotel, and when the day continues with meetings or wineries. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide sets out the trade-offs.
Who uses FBO transfers
- Individuals: executives and private travellers, often booked by an assistant; see our page for individual travellers.
- Couples arriving for a weekend at a winery inn.
- Families with car seats, which are available in the booker, and plenty of luggage.
- Groups: delegations, wedding parties and corporate retreats; the corporate page and the travel agencies page cover account bookings. Flight departments sometimes pair this with our meet and greet service for passengers on commercial legs. All trip types are under our services.
How to book an FBO transfer in 3 steps
- Enter the FBO and destination. Use the FBO's name or address as pickup, the date and expected arrival, and the tail number or flight reference in the notes.
- Choose the vehicle. Each class shows its fixed all-in fare for the trip.
- Add passengers, bags and preferences, then pay. Include meet & greet, child seats or the VIP security add-on if needed; confirmation arrives by email.
Flight plans shift, so note the cancellation terms, measured from the scheduled pickup: no charge with more than 72 hours' notice, 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and 100% at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. The how-to-book guide explains each screen.
