Hotels · attractions · airports · bridges

Door-to-door chauffeured cars between every Fallsview and Clifton Hill hotel, the wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake, all four Niagara border bridges, Toronto Pearson, Buffalo Niagara, Hamilton and Billy Bishop airports, and the attractions on both sides of the river.

A quick note before anything else: this page is about the town of Simcoe in Norfolk County, a few minutes inland from Lake Erie, not Simcoe County or Lake Simcoe up north. If you are near Lake Simcoe, our Barrie limo service page is the one you want.

For Simcoe itself, a limo service Simcoe families and businesses can rely on comes down to one thing: a car that is booked, confirmed and at the door on time. NiagaraFallsLimo.net provides exactly that, with pre-booked chauffeurs who come to your door at the time you choose, whether that is a 4 a.m. run to the airport, a wedding at a Norfolk farm or a full day at Niagara Falls with the ride home included. It is part of our network of Canadian city pickups, all booked through one reservations desk.

How far is Simcoe from Niagara Falls, and what is the drive like?

Simcoe to Niagara Falls, Ontario is about 111 km (69 mi), usually 1 h 45 – 2 h 15, on two-lane country highways through Haldimand County and West Lincoln rather than the QEW. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives it as a same-day round trip, an overnight or one way; the online booker shows the fixed all-in fare before you pay.

The distance is short; the speed is not. This is a rural route with village speed limits, farm equipment in harvest season and deer at dusk, which is why it takes almost as long as some 150 km highway trips. It is also a pretty drive, and the chauffeur knows where the passing lanes are. The fares for each vehicle class on Simcoe to Niagara Falls and back are shown in the table below.

Who your chauffeur is

Trips from Simcoe are dispatched by NiagaraFallsLimo.net and driven by our own licensed, commercially insured chauffeurs, the same team that drives the Niagara wineries, hotels and border bridges daily. You deal with one desk from booking to drop-off. The fleet page shows every class, from a Standard Sedan for three to a Stretch SUV Limousine for up to 16; models are "or similar" and confirmed at booking.

The route east: Highway 3, Smithville and Lundy's Lane

There is no freeway between Norfolk County and Niagara, so the quickest line is a chain of provincial and regional roads. From Simcoe the chauffeur heads east on Highway 3 through Jarvis and Cayuga, turns north toward Smithville, then follows Regional Road 20 east through the Fonthill area and enters Niagara Falls along Lundy's Lane. From the top of Lundy's Lane it is a few minutes to the Fallsview hotels and Table Rock.

The alternative is Highway 6 north to Hamilton and the QEW east. It adds distance and the Hamilton traffic, so we use it mainly when weather or construction closes the country route. In winter, snow squalls can make the open farm stretches slow, and the chauffeur will tell you the night before if an earlier start makes sense.

Arriving by Lundy's Lane has one practical upside: the Clifton Hill and Lundy's Lane hotels are right on your path if you are staying over.

Simcoe to Niagara Falls and back: a timed day

A plan that suits most Simcoe groups from spring to autumn:

  1. 8:30 a.m. – Pickup in Simcoe or Port Dover.
  2. 8:30 – 10:30 – East through Haldimand and West Lincoln, with a stop in Smithville or Fonthill if you want coffee.
  3. 10:30 – Drop-off near Table Rock by the Horseshoe Falls.
  4. 10:45 – 1:15 – The water. In season, the boat from Niagara City Cruises, or the White Water Walk boardwalk beside the rapids.
  5. 1:15 – Lunch, then the Niagara Parks Power Station or the gardens along the Parkway.
  6. 3:30 – Wine country. Niagara-on-the-Lake is 20 to 25 km north, or, on the way home, the Twenty Valley and Beamsville Bench wineries are a short detour north of Smithville.
  7. 6:30 – Dinner, then home to Simcoe around 9:00.

Once you are at the falls, Niagara Parks' WEGO buses link the main sites, so you can explore on foot and by shuttle while the chauffeur waits. For a more structured outing, our Niagara Falls tour packages offer 8, 10 and 12-hour days. Between November and April, when the boats are docked, the Winter Festival of Lights makes an evening trip worth the drive.

Staying a night, or just going one way

Because the drive is under two hours, many Simcoe families do the falls in a day. A night away still has its moments: the illuminations after dark, fireworks on scheduled nights and a slow morning in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The chauffeur drops you at your hotel and returns the next day at the time you choose, priced as two transfers in the booker. Our Niagara hotels section helps you choose between a falls view and a quiet inn.

One-way bookings are useful for wedding guests heading to a Niagara venue or anyone who needs a ride home after a family member drove them out.

Around Simcoe and Port Dover

Plenty of our Norfolk County bookings never leave the county. A sedan for a dinner in Port Dover, a car between Simcoe, Delhi and Waterford for a family event, or an hourly booking for visiting buyers touring farms and wineries are all routine. Norfolk County's economic development office promotes a Visit Norfolk app that lists local wineries and stops, and our hourly chauffeur service turns that list into a relaxed day with one driver.

Simcoe airport limo: Hamilton, Pearson and Buffalo

  • John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) is the nearest major airport, about 57 km (35 mi) north, usually a little over an hour. The airport's ground transportation page notes that limo service is pre-arranged with the provider, which is exactly how we work. Our Hamilton airport transfer page covers flights that land there.
  • Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about 128 km (80 mi), roughly two hours off-peak, and handles most long-haul flights. See our Toronto Pearson airport limo page.
  • Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) in New York is an option for some US flights. The chauffeur crosses the border with you; each passenger must carry their own valid travel documents. Read more on our Buffalo Niagara airport transfer and cross-border car service pages.

Every airport pickup includes flight tracking, and meet and greet inside arrivals with a name board can be added in the booker.

Norfolk County weddings and the limo rental side

Norfolk County weddings often take place at wineries, farms and lakeside venues around Port Dover, about 13 km south of Simcoe, so the day involves more road than a city wedding. A typical arrangement: a Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach for the couple, a Stretch Limousine for up to 8 in the wedding party and an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 family members. Vehicles are timed around the ceremony, photos and reception, and our wedding limo page explains the planning. The booker confirms whether the Rolls-Royce, Maybach or stretch is free on your date.

For couples planning an anniversary or a proposal at the falls, the anniversary and proposal limo page has ideas that do not rely on a car with a bar, because there is none: drinking in our vehicles is not allowed under Ontario rules.

Proms, party buses and the Fair

High-school proms are a spring fixture in Simcoe, and a Stretch SUV Limousine for up to 16 keeps a whole friend group together for photos, the venue and the ride home. Parents get a single contact and a set return time. Our prom limo page lists what to send us.

The Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is held in Simcoe each autumn; the Norfolk County Agricultural Society posts its dates once they are confirmed, usually for early October. Booking a car for a night at the fair means nobody has to hunt for parking or drive home.

Our Party Bus seats up to 12 for birthdays and stag or stagette nights, often with Niagara Falls as the destination. See the party bus page for how an evening is planned.

Simcoe is one of the places where public transport to Niagara really is difficult, so the honest comparison is between driving yourself and being driven. If one adult is going alone and enjoys the drive, take your own car. If there are children, grandparents, a group or a plan to taste wine, a chauffeur is the better choice. The chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide explains the differences in detail.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Simcoe to Niagara Falls?

About 111 km (69 mi), usually 1 h 45 – 2 h 15 on Highway 3 east, then north toward Smithville and Regional Road 20 into Niagara Falls by Lundy's Lane. It is a two-lane country route, so harvest traffic and winter snow can add time.

Can a limo pick us up in Simcoe for a day trip to the Falls and bring us back?

Yes. Book a round trip and the same chauffeur takes you there, stays on call and brings you home at the time you choose. An 8:30 a.m. start and a 7:00 p.m. departure from Niagara gets most families home by 9:00. The booker shows the fixed fare first.

Which airport is closest to Simcoe?

John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM), about 57 km north. Toronto Pearson (YYZ) is about 128 km away and has more international flights. Some travellers use Buffalo Niagara (BUF) for US routes, which means a border crossing with your own documents.

Is this Simcoe in Norfolk County or near Lake Simcoe?

This page covers the town of Simcoe in Norfolk County, near Lake Erie. For Barrie, Orillia and the Lake Simcoe area, see our Barrie limo service page. Both are served by NiagaraFallsLimo.net chauffeurs.

Do you pick up in Port Dover and other Norfolk towns?

Yes. Port Dover, Waterford, Delhi and rural Norfolk addresses are all fine. Enter the exact address in the booker; the fixed fare is calculated for that pickup point.

Can we visit wineries on the way home?

Yes. The Beamsville Bench and Twenty Valley wineries are a short detour north of the route home, and Niagara-on-the-Lake is 20 to 25 km from the falls. Add stops in the booker or book by the hour. The chauffeur never drinks, so everyone can taste.

What if we need to cancel?

From the scheduled pickup time: more than 72 hours' notice is free; 72 hours or less is 10 per cent; 48 hours or less is 50 per cent; 24 hours or less or a no-show is the full fare. Proms and large weddings may have a different deadline on the confirmation.
