Ajax looks south over Lake Ontario, and on a clear day the lake is the same water that pours over the Horseshoe Falls a long drive to the west. The distance is the catch. Every trip from Ajax to Niagara crosses the full width of the Greater Toronto Area twice. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books limo service in Ajax so that nobody in your party has to do that driving, and it covers the local work as well: airport runs, lakeside weddings, proms and nights out.
What is the best way to get from Ajax to Niagara Falls?
For families and groups, a pre-booked chauffeur door to door. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives Ajax to Niagara Falls, about 173 km (107 mi), usually 2 h 05 – 2 h 35 off-peak by the 401 or 407 ETR and the QEW. Book online, choose a vehicle and the fixed all-in fare appears before you pay.
For a solo traveller with a light bag, the GO train is a fair alternative, and we compare the two honestly further down. Ajax trips are dispatched in Ontario by NiagaraFallsLimo.net and driven by its own licensed, commercially insured chauffeurs, with one 24/7 desk behind every booking.
Ajax to Niagara Falls and back: two ways to shape the day
The evening version. Many Ajax clients would rather see the Falls lit up than spend all day there.
- 1:30 p.m. Pickup in Ajax, after the school run and before the westbound afternoon rush builds.
- About 4:00 p.m. Arrival in Niagara Falls. A walk along the brink at Table Rock while it is still light.
- 5:30 p.m. Up the Skylon Tower for the view, or dinner on Clifton Hill.
- After dark. The Falls illumination runs every evening, and in season there are fireworks too. Our Falls night tour shows how a chauffeur moves you between the best viewpoints.
- About 9:30 p.m. Start for home, with Ajax reached before midnight on clear roads.
The early version. Leave at 7:45 a.m., spend the morning at the Horseshoe Falls, take the afternoon in Niagara-on-the-Lake on our Niagara wine tour limo or at the shops, and be home for a late supper. Children who need a calmer day might prefer the Butterfly Conservatory to the busier attractions.
Either way, the same car and chauffeur stay with you. Our Niagara Falls tour packages offer set itineraries, and the round-trip fares by vehicle from Ajax are shown below this article.

Staying a night, or going one way
An overnight turns a long day into an easy weekend. Book Ajax to your hotel for the first day and the hotel back to Ajax for the second; the Fallsview hotels guide and the full Niagara hotels section help with the choice. One-way rides are useful when you are going on to a Niagara-on-the-Lake wedding, to the American side or to a flight out of Buffalo. If you cross the border, every passenger needs their own valid documents; our Buffalo Niagara (BUF) transfer page explains how the crossing works with a chauffeur.
The highways from Ajax
Ajax gives a chauffeur three ways to start the trip west:
- Highway 401, which runs right through town. It leads to Highway 427 south and the QEW, toll-free but slow through Scarborough and the 401 collectors at busy times.
- The 407 ETR, reached north of town. Its tolled section ends at Brock Road in Pickering, just west of Ajax, and runs west to meet the QEW at Burlington. Tolls are billed by transponder or licence-plate camera to the vehicle's account, which in our cars is ours.
- Highway 407 East and Highway 412, the provincially owned links further east. The Town of Whitby reported that tolls came off 407 East between Brock Road and Highway 35/115 on June 1, 2025.
On a weekday afternoon the 407 is often the quicker choice. Late on a Saturday night the 401 is usually clear. The chauffeur decides from live traffic, and the fixed fare you accepted does not change. The final 90 minutes follow the QEW along the lake and through the Niagara fruit belt; the Toronto to Niagara Falls route guide describes it.
Ajax airport limo: Pearson and Oshawa Executive
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about 64 km from central Ajax, usually 55 minutes to 1 h 15, more at rush hour. Toronto Pearson names Terminal 1 Door A and Terminal 3 Door A as its pre-arranged pickup points. We track every arrival by flight number, and meet and greet puts the chauffeur inside the terminal with a name board. Details are on our Toronto Pearson transfer page.
Oshawa Executive Airport (YOO) is only about 18 km east, usually around 20 minutes. The City of Oshawa describes it as a corporate and general-aviation airport with no scheduled passenger flights and a full-service FBO open around the clock. If a client or executive is arriving by private aircraft, give us the tail number; our private jet and FBO transfer service explains how the meet works.
Around Ajax: pickups and local trips
- Ajax GO, on the Lakeshore East line, for late trains and passengers with heavy bags.
- The waterfront. The Town of Ajax describes six kilometres of parkland along Lake Ontario, more than 150 acres of public space and an asphalt trail of over seven kilometres that forms part of the Waterfront Trail. Rotary Park, at the mouth of Duffins Creek, has a pavilion with a meeting room, which makes it a pleasant spot for photos or a small family gathering.
- Harwood Avenue and the downtown plazas, for errands, dinners and medical appointments with a wait-and-return booking.
- Pickering Casino Resort, just across the town line in Pickering, for dinner, a concert at The Arena or a hotel night. Our Pickering limo page covers it in more detail.
Party bus Ajax and limo rental
Weddings. Ajax has lakeside parks for photographs and banquet venues such as Deer Creek, a golf and event property in north Ajax. A Rolls-Royce or Mercedes-Maybach for the couple, availability confirmed at booking, and an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 in the wedding party is a popular pairing. See our wedding limo service.
Proms and graduations. Durham Region schools publish their own rules for arrival and departure. We follow them and the parents' timetable; our prom limo page has the details.
Stag and stagette nights. A night in Toronto or at the Falls with a bachelor and bachelorette limo, or a party bus for up to 12.
Big groups. The Stretch SUV Limousine carries up to 16, and coaches are available on request through our group transportation service.
There is no drinking in our vehicles. Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law forbids it and Ontario's liquor law makes no exception for limousines; the chauffeur never drinks. A sealed gift bottle can be added in the booker for later.

How long does it take to get from Ajax to Niagara Falls?
About 173 km (107 mi) to the Fallsview area, usually 2 h 05 – 2 h 35 off-peak by the 401 or 407 ETR and the QEW. Weekday afternoons and summer Fridays can push it past three hours.
Can a limo pick us up in Ajax for a day trip to the Falls and bring us back?
Yes. Certainly: book it as a return or by the hour. One chauffeur collects you in Ajax, waits while you sightsee and brings you home, including late after the illumination. The fare is fixed in the booker before you pay.
Which airport is closest to Ajax?
Oshawa Executive Airport (YOO), about 18 km east, is the closest, but it handles private and corporate aircraft only. For airline flights, Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is about 64 km west.
Is the 407 toll-free from Ajax?
Partly. The provincially owned Highway 407 East from Brock Road eastward and Highway 412 are toll-free. The 407 ETR west of Brock Road is a private toll road. If your chauffeur uses it, the toll goes to our account and your fixed fare does not change.
Can we take a GO train from Ajax to Niagara Falls?
Yes, with a change. Take a Lakeshore East train from Ajax GO to Union Station, then a Lakeshore West train toward Niagara Falls GO. With the change and the walks at each end, allow well over three hours.
Do you have a party bus in Ajax for a prom or a wedding?
Yes. For a group of up to 12 choose the Party Bus, and for up to 16 the Stretch SUV Limousine; both are subject to availability at booking. Prom and wedding dates may carry a different cancellation deadline, and alcohol is not allowed in our vehicles.
How much does a limo cost in Ajax?
It depends on the trip and the vehicle, and the booker quotes a fixed all-in fare for exactly that before payment. For the Ajax to Niagara Falls round trip, fares by vehicle are shown below this article.
