Oshawa is a car town, and its museum of Canadian automobiles sits downtown. These days the city is just as likely to call us for a business jet at the executive airport, a graduation at Ontario Tech University or a Saturday at the Horseshoe Falls. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books limo service in Oshawa for all of it, with our own licensed, commercially insured chauffeurs, and the Falls round trip is one of the longest days we drive in Ontario: about 188 km (117 mi) each way.
How do you get from Oshawa to Niagara Falls without driving yourself?
Book a private chauffeur. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives Oshawa to Niagara Falls and back door to door, about 188 km (117 mi), usually 2 h 05 to 2 h 40 each way off-peak, as a day trip, an overnight or one way. Enter your Oshawa address and the Falls hotel or attraction online, and the booker shows a fixed fare before you pay.
The alternatives exist, and the comparison further down is honest about them: GO trains to Union Station with a change for Niagara, or coaches via Toronto. What they cannot do is collect you at home, wait at the Falls and bring you back to the same door at night.
An Oshawa to Niagara Falls and back day, planned for the distance
Because the drive takes over two hours, the best Oshawa day trips are built around one long, unhurried stretch at the Falls rather than a dash between ten stops. One version we like, especially from late spring to early autumn:
- 8:00 pickup in Oshawa, Taunton or Courtice.
- 10:15 the Floral Clock and the Niagara Parkway on the way in, then the Butterfly Conservatory at the Botanical Gardens.
- 11:45 down to the river: the brink at Table Rock and a boat into the mist with Niagara City Cruises in season, or Journey Behind the Falls in winter.
- 13:30 a long lunch with a view, then free time on Clifton Hill or the Fallsview promenade.
- Dusk the illuminated Falls; on fireworks nights, the display over the gorge. Our illumination and fireworks page explains what runs when.
- Evening the chauffeur collects you at an agreed corner and you are home before midnight.
Booked "By the hour", the plan can bend: stay for dinner, skip the boat, add a stop. For a fixed schedule, our Niagara Falls tour packages set out 8-, 10- and 12-hour days, and the Falls night tour focuses on the evening.
Or make it an overnight
The kinder version of a 188 km trip is a night away. Book the outbound ride, a room from our Fallsview hotels guide, and a next-day return that starts in Niagara-on-the-Lake after a morning on a Niagara wine tour. Nobody drives after the tastings, and nobody faces the 401 after the fireworks.
One way
One-way bookings suit a Falls wedding, a Fallsview conference or a week's holiday with a separate ride home.

Getting across the GTA from Oshawa
The hard part of this trip is not Niagara; it is the 70-odd kilometres of Toronto in between. The route planners favour the 401 west to the 427 and the QEW, which is quick early on a weekend morning and slow on a weekday afternoon. The alternative is to join Highway 407 north of the city and follow it west across the GTA to the QEW at Burlington. East of Brock Road it is now toll-free: Ontario removed tolls on the provincial section of Highway 407 East between Brock Road and Highways 35/115 on June 1, 2025. West of Brock Road the 407 ETR is a private, all-electronic toll road billed to the vehicle's owner or transponder holder, never to the passenger; its FAQ page explains how charges are set.
Our chauffeurs choose on the day from live traffic. If you have a strong preference, or want a stop in downtown Toronto on the way, write it in the booking notes. The journal post on Durham Region riders heading to Niagara Falls covers the same question from the passenger's side.
Oshawa Executive Airport and business travel
Oshawa Executive Airport (YOO), at 1200 Airport Boulevard in the north-west of the city, is owned and run by the City of Oshawa. The city describes it as Ontario's largest general aviation and corporate-only airport, with a full-service fixed-base operator open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and states that it has no scheduled passenger flights and no plans for any (City of Oshawa). That makes it a business-jet and charter field, and it is about 6 km from downtown, usually 10 minutes.
- Meeting a private aircraft. Give us the tail number or the operator and the expected arrival; the chauffeur waits at the FBO. Our private jet and FBO transfers page explains the procedure, and the FBO directory lists other Ontario terminals. To charter the flight itself, see private jet charter.
- Airline flights. For scheduled service, Oshawa travellers use Toronto Pearson (YYZ), about 78 km away, usually an hour to 1 h 25, or Billy Bishop downtown. Both have their own pages: Toronto Pearson airport limo and Billy Bishop transfers. We track flights, so a delay moves your pickup automatically.
- Days of meetings. The Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class or an Executive Black SUV booked "By the hour" covers plant visits, campus meetings and dinner without a single taxi call. Chauffeurs are discreet and NDAs are available. Companies booking often should read our corporate transportation page.
Limo service around Oshawa
- Downtown. The blocks around Simcoe and King streets, the arena on Athol Street and the Canadian Automotive Museum at 99 Simcoe Street South, which has kept the story of Canadian car-building since 1963.
- North Oshawa. The shared campus of Ontario Tech University and Durham College on Simcoe Street North, and the newer Windfields and Taunton neighbourhoods near the 407.
- The lakeshore. Lakeview Park and the neighbourhoods south of the 401.
- Courtice and the east. On the way to Bowmanville, where GO trains are due to arrive one day: Metrolinx began building the 18.7 km Lakeshore East extension from Oshawa to Bowmanville in 2026, with upgrades at Durham College Oshawa GO in the first phase and no completion date published (Region of Durham).
For anything with more than one stop, the hourly chauffeur is the easiest way to book.
Generals and FireWolves nights
The Tribute Communities Centre at 99 Athol Street East is home to the OHL's Oshawa Generals and the National Lacrosse League's Oshawa FireWolves, and it hosts concerts too. Its directions and parking page reserves the roundabout at the top of Red Tilson Lane for guests with accessibility needs and points everyone else to downtown parking, so we agree a nearby street corner for drop-off and pickup and text it before the final whistle. A Sprinter or party bus for a birthday group, or a sedan for two season-ticket holders who would rather not park, are both common. The arena is due for a major modernization, so we watch for construction changes to the drop-off. Bigger shows in Toronto are on our concert and sports transportation page.
Party bus, prom and grad limos in Oshawa
Oshawa's group calendar follows the school year: proms and graduations in spring, birthdays and stags all year, casino trips to Niagara whenever there is a long weekend.
- Party Bus for up to 12, and Stretch SUV Limousine for up to 16, availability confirmed at booking.
- Stretch Limousine for up to 8.
- Executive Sprinter for up to 12 with carry-on bags, the comfortable choice for the long run to the Fallsview Casino Resort.
Drinking is not allowed in any of our vehicles: Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law forbids a driver to permit it, and Ontario's liquor law makes no limousine exception. More detail is on our party bus and prom limo pages, including the special cancellation deadlines that can apply in prom season.
Weddings at Parkwood and across Durham
Parkwood National Historic Site, the former McLaughlin family estate at 270 Simcoe Street North, hosts garden ceremonies through its operator's wedding programme. Garden weddings are tied to weather and tight photo windows, so we schedule cars with a margin between ceremony, photos and the reception, which in Durham is often a golf club or banquet hall some distance away. The wedding limo page explains how we plan the day, and planners can see our event and wedding planner arrangements.
Oshawa to Niagara Falls: what each option really involves
| Mode | Door to door | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GO train | Durham College Oshawa GO to Union, change to Lakeshore West for Niagara Falls; limited direct Niagara trips | GO fare by distance | What you can carry | Solo travellers on a day the trains fit |
| VIA Rail or coach via Toronto | Change in Toronto; several hours | Ticket price | Checked or under the bus | Budget travel without a fixed return |
| Rideshare | Direct if a driver accepts the distance | Surge pricing at peak | Varies | One way, one or two people |
| Taxi | Direct | Metered over 188 km | Trunk | Seldom sensible this far |
| Driving yourself | Direct, plus Falls parking | Fuel, parking, any 407 tolls | Your trunk | People happy to drive four-plus hours |
| Private chauffeur | Door to door, the car waits | Fixed fare via booker | Matched to the vehicle | Families, groups, day trips, overnights, border crossings |
The train makes sense for one person with a light bag and a flexible day; GO Transit and our guide to Niagara by train and bus set out the connection at Union. Once you add children, car seats, a group, wine country, a late evening at the Falls or a trip into New York, a chauffeur is simpler: one booking, no change of train, no surge. For a border crossing the driver crosses with you and each passenger carries their own documents; see our cross-border car service and border crossing pages.
