Hotels · attractions · airports · bridges

Door-to-door chauffeured cars between every Fallsview and Clifton Hill hotel, the wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake, all four Niagara border bridges, Toronto Pearson, Buffalo Niagara, Hamilton and Billy Bishop airports, and the attractions on both sides of the river.

Pittsburgh drivers measure trips in tunnels and bridges rather than kilometres, and visitors learn quickly why: three rivers, steep hills and a downtown you reach by bursting out of the Fort Pitt Tunnel onto a bridge. Heading north to Niagara Falls is the opposite experience, a long, straight run up I-79 to Lake Erie. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books both kinds of driving. Our booker covers Pittsburgh car service and limo service across Allegheny County, Pittsburgh International Airport transfers, party buses for game days and proms, and the private car from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls, a trip searched close to 900 times a month.

How far is Pittsburgh from Niagara Falls, and can I book a car?

Yes. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books a one-way or return private car from any Pittsburgh address to Niagara Falls, Ontario: about 381 km (237 mi) via I-79, I-90 and the Peace Bridge, usually 4 h 30 to 5 h of driving plus the border. Choose the vehicle in the online booker, which shows the fixed all-in fare before you pay.

Before anything else, a word on who drives. Our company is based at Niagara Falls, and we do not run an office, garage or staff in Pennsylvania. Rides that start in Pittsburgh are carried out by an independent partner from the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network, vetted by us, licensed and commercially insured. You book with NiagaraFallsLimo.net, pay us, and keep dealing with our desk whenever something needs to change. That arrangement is the same in every city on our US limo and car service hub.

The road north: I-79, Erie and the Peace Bridge

From downtown the car crosses the Allegheny on I-279, joins I-79 north through the North Hills and Cranberry, and stays on it for about 170 km to Erie. There it turns east on I-90, across the narrow strip of Pennsylvania that touches Lake Erie and into New York, where I-90 becomes the New York State Thruway. Past the lakeshore towns and toward Buffalo, the chauffeur leaves the Thruway for the Peace Bridge into Fort Erie, Ontario, and finishes on the QEW along the Niagara River. Total: about 381 km (237 mi), usually 4 h 30 to 5 h of driving, plus the time at Canadian inspection, which nobody can predict.

Three habits of this road worth knowing:

  • Rush hour on I-79 through the North Hills and Cranberry is the slowest part; leave mid-morning if you can.
  • Winter is the wild card. The I-90 stretch past Erie and the Thruway south of Buffalo lie in Lake Erie's snow belt. Allow extra time from November to March.
  • Toll roads. The Thruway is tolled; the bridge toll is charged entering Canada. Our Peace Bridge guide covers the crossing in detail.

If your pickup is in the South Hills, Mt. Lebanon or near the airport, add 20 to 30 minutes. From Cranberry or Wexford, take off about the same.

The honest verdict: a private car is the natural choice from Pittsburgh. There is no direct Amtrak train toward Buffalo or the Falls, and once you add the drive to the airport, security and a possible connection, flying to Buffalo Niagara (BUF) is rarely faster than the road for a city this close. The private car especially wins for a family with car seats, a group of six in an SUV, or anyone who wants to leave from the front door and arrive at the hotel's. Driving yourself is fine if you want your own car at the Falls; just remember the return border queue on a Sunday afternoon. Our guide to chauffeur, taxi and rideshare goes deeper.

Pittsburgh airport car service at PIT

Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) sits west of the city, about 28 km (17 mi) from downtown by road, usually around 30 minutes along I-376 and through the Fort Pitt Tunnel when it is moving. Allow more at rush hour, when the tunnel approaches slow to a crawl.

The airport opened its new landside terminal on November 18, 2025, replacing the old building and the tram that used to link it to the gates. The airport's ground transportation page lists the limousine and black car operators that hold an airport authority permit, and directs Uber and Lyft riders to meet their driver across the road from Door 7 on the Ground Level. Your confirmation tells you exactly where your chauffeur will meet you. Add meet and greet in the booker if you would like the chauffeur inside with a name board.

Flight tracking comes with every airport booking, so a delayed arrival moves the pickup automatically. Child seats, toddler seats, boosters and a wheelchair-accessible request are booker options. Flying privately? Our private jet and FBO transfers page explains how we meet aircraft at general aviation terminals.

Black car and chauffeur service for business days

Pittsburgh's business map is spread across river valleys: towers downtown and on the North Shore, universities and hospitals in Oakland, research campuses out toward the airport and in the eastern suburbs. Moving between them by rideshare means waiting on a hillside at every stop. The booker's "By the hour" mode puts one chauffeur and one car at your disposal for the day, waiting outside while you meet. Our hourly chauffeur service explains how as-directed time works.

The David L. Lawrence Convention Center at 1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard is downtown's conference hub, a short ride from most hotels but a long walk in February. Book the transfers ahead and the car is assigned before the show-day crush. Chauffeurs are licensed and discreet, and confidentiality agreements are available on request.

Pittsburgh party bus and limo rental

Pittsburgh party bus is the most searched local service phrase on this page after the Falls trip itself, and the sports calendar explains it. The North Shore puts Acrisure Stadium, home of the Steelers, and PNC Park, home of the Pirates, side by side across the river from downtown. PPG Paints Arena in the Lower Hill hosts the Penguins and the big concert tours. After a home game, the bridges and the North Shore streets fill all at once; a stretch or party bus with an agreed pickup point is the easy way out. The Visit Pittsburgh site carries the city's event listings.

Spring brings proms across Allegheny, Butler and Washington counties, and summer brings weddings in Lawrenceville lofts, Strip District venues and country clubs out in the suburbs. Couples often take a stretch while the wedding party rides behind in an Executive Sprinter. See our prom limo and party bus pages for how those bookings work.

There is no drinking in our vehicles, anywhere, and the chauffeur never drinks. A sealed bottle, ordered in the booker, can be presented as a keepsake to open later.

Vehicles you can request

All of our classes can be requested in Pittsburgh: a Standard Sedan for three, a Mercedes-Benz E or S-Class for two, Standard and Executive Black SUVs for six, the Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce for two, a Stretch Limousine for eight, a Stretch SUV Limousine for 16, an Executive Sprinter for 12, the six-seat Executive Jet Sprinter and a 12-seat Party Bus. Each city's partner fleet is different, so we confirm the class when you book. Photos and luggage space are on the fleet page.

Border documents for the trip to the Falls

Every passenger must carry their own documents, and the chauffeur cannot speak for anyone at the booth. Entering Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency recommends that US citizens travel with a valid passport. Coming back, US Customs and Border Protection accepts a passport, passport card, enhanced driver's licence or trusted traveller card such as NEXUS from US citizens, as set out on its Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative page. Rules differ for children, green-card holders and foreign visitors; see documents for entering Canada and our border crossing guide.

Booking in 3 steps

  1. Where and when. Enter the pickup (a house in Squirrel Hill, a hotel on the North Shore, PIT arrivals) and the drop-off, with the date, time and flight number.
  2. Which car. The booker lists each vehicle class with its fixed all-in fare for that trip.
  3. The details. Passengers, bags, child seats, meet and greet, extra stops. Pay securely; the confirmation arrives by email.

Who books Pittsburgh car service with us

  • Individuals: business travellers who want the same fixed fare from PIT every trip.
  • Couples: a Niagara weekend without either of them driving home on Sunday.
  • Families: car seats fitted before pickup and an SUV for the luggage.
  • Groups: wedding parties, prom groups and conference teams. Our groups page covers Sprinters and coaches.

Your time at Niagara Falls

The car drops you at your hotel; if you have not booked one, start with our guide to Niagara Falls hotels. The same desk books a private Niagara Falls tour, our Niagara Falls tour packages, winery days and the drive home, and the travel desk can plan the whole stay. Coming with friends from Ohio? See our Cleveland car service and Columbus limo service pages; for eastern Pennsylvania, our Philadelphia limo service.

Cancelling is free if more than 72 hours remain before pickup. After that the charge steps up: 10% at 72 hours or less, 50% at 48 hours or less, and the full fare at 24 hours or less or for a no-show. Prom season, holiday weekends and large weddings sometimes use a different cut-off, and yours would be shown on the confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Pittsburgh to Niagara Falls?

About 381 km (237 mi) from downtown Pittsburgh to the Fallsview hotels in Niagara Falls, Ontario, via I-79, I-90 and the Peace Bridge. Expect 4 h 30 to 5 h of driving, plus the border crossing and a short stop. Winter snow near Erie and Buffalo can add time.

Can I book a car from Pittsburgh International Airport to Niagara Falls?

Yes. Enter Pittsburgh International Airport as the pickup and your Niagara hotel as the drop-off, and the booker shows the fixed fare for each vehicle. It is about 382 km (237 mi), close to five hours plus the border. Add your flight number so the chauffeur tracks it.

How much is a party bus in Pittsburgh?

The booker shows the fixed all-in fare for your exact pickup, drop-off, time and vehicle before you pay, so you can compare a party bus with a stretch SUV limousine or a Sprinter on one screen. Availability is confirmed at booking, and prom nights may carry a different cancellation deadline.

How much is a limo in Pittsburgh?

Pittsburgh limo prices are trip-specific. Enter the details in the booker and it shows the fixed all-in fare for a sedan, SUV, stretch limousine and every other class before you pay. There is no meter and no surge pricing after a Steelers game.

Usually the Peace Bridge from Buffalo to Fort Erie, which leads straight onto the QEW. On a busy day the chauffeur may switch to the Rainbow Bridge or the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. Whatever the bridge, every passenger needs their own valid documents.

Who drives my car in Pittsburgh?

A licensed, commercially insured Pennsylvania operator from the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network that has passed our vetting. NiagaraFallsLimo.net takes your booking and payment and stays your point of contact for the whole trip.
