Markham is the farthest of the big York Region cities from Niagara and one of the busiest for executive travel, and both facts shape how we work there. NiagaraFallsLimo.net provides limo service in Markham for airport transfers, corporate days on the Highway 7 and 404 corridor, theatre nights, weddings and proms, and it drives Markham families and visitors to Niagara Falls and back in a day. The online booker quotes a fixed fare for each vehicle before you pay, and the reservations desk stays on the trip from pickup to drop-off.

How long does Markham to Niagara Falls take by private car?
Central Markham to the Fallsview area of Niagara Falls, Ontario is about 155 km (96 mi), usually 1 h 55 – 2 h 20 off-peak by the 407 ETR or the 404, 401 and 427 to the QEW. NiagaraFallsLimo.net picks up at your door and books the return too; the online booker shows the fixed fare first.
That is a road-routing figure from the city centre with no traffic; Unionville and Cornell add or subtract a few kilometres. Niagara-on-the-Lake is about 154 km. Because Markham sits on the eastern side of York Region, every route first has to cross the whole width of the GTA before it turns along Lake Ontario, so the departure hour matters more than from anywhere further west. See the fares by vehicle below for the full Markham to Niagara Falls and back trip.
Our Vaughan and Markham to Niagara Falls route page compares the 401–427 corridor with the 407 in detail, and the Markham and Richmond Hill 407 ETR guide explains how the toll road works for first-time visitors and how a group fare is built. We will not repeat those here.
Markham to Niagara Falls and back: wine country first, the Falls by evening
Markham visitors often reverse the usual order, because Niagara-on-the-Lake comes up first on the way in and the Falls are at their best after dark. A day that works well:
- 9:45 a.m. Pickup in Markham after the morning traffic on the 407 eases.
- About noon. Arrival in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Lunch on Queen Street, then two or three tastings with the chauffeur waiting at each winery. Our Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries guide lists the main estates.
- 3:30 p.m. South along the Niagara Parkway, past the Floral Clock and the Niagara Glen, about 24 km to the Falls.
- 4 – 8 p.m. The brink at Table Rock, dinner overlooking the gorge, and the Falls under coloured light; the illumination and fireworks page explains the schedule.
- 8:15 p.m. Back to Markham, arriving around 10:30 p.m., when the QEW is at its quietest.
Nobody in the group drives after tastings, which is the point of booking the Niagara wine tour limo for a day like this. The order can of course be flipped, and our tour packages offer other ready-made shapes.
Overnight stays and one-way drop-offs
Booked as two transfers on different days, the trip suits a Falls weekend: you are dropped at a hotel on the escarpment and collected when you check out, with no car to park. The Niagara hotels guide helps you pick between the Fallsview towers, Clifton Hill and the inns of Niagara-on-the-Lake. One-way trips cover wedding guests, a cottage hand-off or onward travel to Buffalo; for any US crossing, each passenger must hold their own valid document, as set out on our documents for entering the USA page.

Markham airport limo, now that Buttonville has closed
Markham once had its own airfield. Buttonville Municipal Airport (YKZ), at 16th Avenue and Highway 404, closed on November 30, 2023, after its land lease ended, and the site is being redeveloped. In practice that leaves three airports for Markham travellers:
- Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ): about 46 km (29 mi), usually 40 – 55 minutes by the 407 or the 401. Pre-booked cars meet passengers in Pearson's designated area, described on the airport's pre-arranged services page. Details of both terminals are on our Toronto Pearson transfer page.
- Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ): on the island off downtown Toronto, a little over 30 km from central Markham, and a good fit for short-haul business trips. See our Billy Bishop page.
- John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM): about 111 km, for some charter and low-cost flights.
Business aircraft that used to land at Buttonville now generally use Pearson's private terminals. Signature Toronto, at 2450 Derry Road East, is open 24 hours according to Signature Aviation. Our chauffeurs meet passengers at the FBO, as described on private jet and FBO transfers, and the private jet charter desk can arrange the aircraft as well.
Executive and corporate car service in Markham
Markham is home to many technology, finance and life-sciences offices along Highway 7, Warden Avenue and the 404, and visitors to those offices tend to need more than an airport ride. A typical day is a Pearson pickup, two meetings in Markham, lunch in Unionville, a dinner downtown and a hotel drop-off. One car on the hourly chauffeur mode covers all of it. We use a Mercedes-Benz E / S-Class for one or two executives and an Executive Black SUV (Escalade / Navigator) when there is luggage or a third passenger. Chauffeurs are discreet and an NDA can be signed. Account billing is set out on corporate car service.
Party bus and limo rental in Markham
- Flato Markham Theatre, at 171 Town Centre Boulevard, is a city-owned, 527-seat house whose professional season runs from September to May. Its current programme is on the theatre's website. A car for a theatre night means no hunt for parking in the Civic Centre area.
- Markham Pan Am Centre, at 16 Main Street Unionville, hosts swim meets and sports events; teams and families often book a Sprinter.
- Unionville Main Street is a favourite for wedding photos and dinners, but stopping is limited on busy weekends, so we agree a side street when you book.
- Downtown Toronto concert halls and arenas are about 31 km south; see concerts and sports transportation.
Our Party Bus seats up to 12, the Stretch SUV Limousine up to 16 and the Stretch Limousine up to 8, with availability confirmed at booking. For proms, a parent books, the school's rules apply and the schedule is fixed in writing; the prom limo page explains. Ontario law means no alcohol in any vehicle, and our chauffeurs enforce it.
Weddings, Lunar New Year and family visits
Markham families often host relatives from overseas for weddings and holidays, which means airport pickups, a day at the Falls and transport to banquet halls, sometimes all in one week. Chinese-speaking visitors planning their first trip can read our guide for Chinese visitors to Niagara Falls with a private driver, and our notes on Diwali, Eid and Lunar New Year visits to the Falls cover holiday crowds and hotel timing. For the wedding day itself, our wedding limo page explains how one booking covers the couple, the wedding party and the elders.
Markham to the Falls: comparing the choices
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GO train via Union | usually 3 h 15 or more, with a change | public fare, see GO's site | light bags only | solo travellers, flexible plans |
| Rideshare | about 2 h – 2 h 30 | surge pricing at peak | small trunk | one or two riders, one way |
| Taxi | about 2 h – 2 h 30 | metered | trunk only | short-notice one-way trips |
| Driving yourself | about 2 h – 2 h 30, plus parking | fuel, 407 tolls, Falls parking | your car | people who want their own car there |
| NiagaraFallsLimo.net chauffeur | about 1 h 55 – 2 h 20 off-peak | fixed fare via booker | sized to the group | families, executives, groups, round trips |
To be fair to the alternatives: a single traveller with a day pass and no deadline can do Markham to Niagara Falls on GO Transit, which advertises daily service to the Falls. A rideshare is reasonable for one person going one way at a quiet hour. The private car pays off with four or more people, child seats, an evening return, a winery stop or a client who must not be late. The chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide goes through the numbers you should compare.
How to reserve in 3 steps
- Route and time. Type your Markham pickup and the destination, such as a Falls hotel, a winery, Pearson or Billy Bishop, with the date, time and flight number if you have one.
- Vehicle class. The booker lists each class with its fixed fare; seats and bag space are on our fleet page.
- Extras and payment. Add passengers, bags, child seats, meet & greet and any extras, pay securely and watch for the confirmation email.
With more than 72 hours' notice, cancelling costs nothing. At 72 hours or less it is 10%, at 48 hours or less 50%, and at 24 hours or less or a no-show 100%.
Who uses our Markham service
Individuals are mostly business travellers and late arrivals. Couples choose the wine-country-then-Falls day or an overnight. Families need SUVs and the Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz) for visiting relatives and their luggage. Groups book party buses for graduations and the Stretch SUV Limousine for milestone birthdays. Larger delegations can be planned with our groups page.
Nearby, the same service runs from Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Scarborough and Vaughan, and the Canada limo service hub lists every city.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the drive from Markham to Niagara Falls?
About 155 km (96 mi) from central Markham, usually 1 h 55 – 2 h 20 off-peak. Weekday rush hours on the 401 and 407 and summer Fridays on the QEW add the most time. The chauffeur checks live traffic before leaving and picks the faster line.
Can a limo pick us up in Markham for a day trip to the Falls and bring us back?
Yes. Choose a return trip or "By the hour" in the booker and the same chauffeur takes you there, waits or comes back at a set time, and drives you home. Many Markham groups combine Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Falls in one day.
Is Buttonville airport still open?
No. Buttonville Municipal Airport closed on November 30, 2023 and the land is being redeveloped. Markham travellers now fly from Toronto Pearson, Billy Bishop or Hamilton, and private aircraft generally use Pearson's FBOs. We serve all of them.
How far is Markham from Toronto Pearson airport?
About 46 km (29 mi), usually 40 – 55 minutes by car outside rush hour. Allow longer for a weekday morning departure. Flight tracking on arrivals means the chauffeur adjusts if your flight is early or late.
What does a Markham limo cost?
The booker shows a fixed all-in fare for your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle before you pay. There is no meter and no surge, and tolls on our vehicle are not billed to you afterwards.
Can you drive us to a show at Flato Markham Theatre?
Yes. A sedan or SUV can drop you at the theatre on Town Centre Boulevard and collect you after the curtain, either on an hourly booking or as two transfers. Tell us the show time and we plan the pickup around the end of the performance.
Do you provide party buses in Markham for proms?
Yes, with a parent or guardian making the booking and times fixed in advance. The Party Bus seats up to 12 and the Stretch SUV Limousine up to 16, both confirmed at booking. No alcohol is permitted on board.
