Clifton Hill is one short, steep street, and on a summer night it holds more people per metre than anywhere else in Niagara. The street's own site calls it the "Street of Fun", one block from the Falls at 4960 Clifton Hill. What it does not advertise is how quickly an evening there can be eaten by parking: the main lot does not offer in-and-out privileges, side streets fill early, and the walk back uphill to a hotel in Fallsview is longer than it looks.
This Clifton Hill attraction guide covers both halves of the problem: what to see once you are there, and how NiagaraFallsLimo.net gets you to the bottom of the hill and back without the search.
What are the main attractions on Clifton Hill?
Clifton Hill's attractions include the Niagara SkyWheel, Niagara Speedway go-karts, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, Movieland Wax Museum, Ripley's, Ghost Blasters and the Great Canadian Midway. It sits about 2 km from the Fallsview hotels. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drops you on Falls Avenue and collects you later; book in the online booker.
The official Clifton Hill site lists these attractions on the street, among others:
- Niagara SkyWheel
- Niagara Speedway
- Dinosaur Adventure Golf
- Wizards' Mini Golf
- Movieland Wax Museum
- Strike Game Zone
- Carnival Chaos
- Creepy Castle
- Toy Store 4D
- Great Canadian Midway
- Ghost Blasters
- Ripley's Museum
It is a dense list for a short street. Most families manage four or five of them in an evening before energy, or patience, runs out.
Which ones are worth your evening
Rather than rank twelve similar attractions, it helps to sort them by what they actually give you.
Worth it for the view: Niagara SkyWheel
The Niagara SkyWheel rises 175 feet, with climate-controlled gondolas that run year-round and rides of about 8 to 12 minutes. At night you look across to the lit Falls; in winter it is one of the few outdoor-feeling things you can do in comfort. If you do one thing on Clifton Hill, it is usually this.
Worth it for teenagers: Niagara Speedway
A raised go-kart track with a spiral and a ramp, on the corner of Victoria Avenue and Clifton Hill. Drivers need to be at least 58 inches tall. It is not on the Fun Pass, and tickets are sold in person. We cover it in full in our post on Niagara Speedway group nights.
Worth it for younger children: mini golf and Toy Store 4D
Dinosaur Adventure Golf and Wizards' Mini Golf are the gentlest options on the street and work for most ages. Toy Store 4D is a short ride-film. These are where families with children under eight tend to spend their time.
Worth it if you like a fright: Creepy Castle and Ghost Blasters
Ghost Blasters is a dark ride where you shoot targets; Creepy Castle is a walk-through. Both are on the Fun Pass. Check the posted guidance for young children; what one eight-year-old finds funny, another will not.
Worth it if it rains: wax, Ripley's and the arcades
Movieland Wax Museum, Ripley's Museum and the arcades (Great Canadian Midway, Strike Game Zone, Carnival Chaos) are all indoors and absorb an hour easily. Arcades are also where an evening's budget disappears fastest, so set a limit before you go in.
The Clifton Hill Fun Pass, explained
The Clifton Hill site sells a Fun Pass covering six attractions: the Niagara SkyWheel, Creepy Castle, Ghost Blasters Dark Ride, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, Movieland Wax Museum and Toy Store 4D. As of 2026 it lists an adult pass at $34.95 and a child pass (12 and under) at $22.95, plus taxes. The site also shows Wizards' Golf and Carnival Chaos as alternative choices on the pass graphic, so read the current terms when you buy.
Is it worth it? If your group plans to ride the SkyWheel and do at least two other attractions on the list, the pass usually makes sense. If you only want the SkyWheel and the go-karts, buy single tickets, because the Speedway is not included.
Parking on Clifton Hill, honestly
According to the Niagara Speedway's own page, the paid lot at 4960 Clifton Hill has over 700 spaces with a flat daily fee and accessible parking, but no overnight parking and no in-and-out privileges. That last point catches people: leave to go to dinner elsewhere and you pay again.
The other issues are geography and timing:
- The hill is steep. Clifton Hill drops from Victoria Avenue down to Falls Avenue near the river. Parking at one end means walking the hill at least once, which matters with small children or anyone with limited mobility.
- Fireworks nights are busiest. During the fireworks season, 10 p.m. displays fill the area in the hour before and empty it all at once after. The 2026 series ran nightly from May 15 to October 12, per Niagara Parks; see our illumination and fireworks page.
- The return trip is the hard part. At 11 p.m. on a Saturday, everyone leaves at once, and rideshare pickups bunch on the same corners.
Where a car drops you and picks you up
A chauffeured car avoids the lot entirely. In practice we plan it one of two ways, and confirm the exact spot in your booking notes:
- Bottom of the hill, Falls Avenue. Falls Avenue runs along the base of Clifton Hill past the Falls Avenue Resort hotels and Casino Niagara at 5705 Falls Avenue. A drop here means you walk uphill through the attractions and come back down to the same point. It is the natural pickup for anyone staying at the Sheraton Fallsview or The Brock, and for families who want a clear, well-lit meeting place.
- Top of the hill, Victoria Avenue. The WEGO Blue Line stops at the corner of Victoria Avenue and Clifton Hill. A drop at the top means walking down, which is easier for grandparents and toddlers, and a pickup at the bottom.
Message the reservations desk ten minutes before you want to leave, and the chauffeur moves into position. If you are staying in a Fallsview tower, the ride is about 2 km (1 mi), usually 3 to 10 minutes depending on traffic. Our Fallsview hotels guide explains each hotel's front door.
A sample Clifton Hill night for a family of five
- 6:00 p.m. Pickup at a Fallsview hotel; drop on Falls Avenue.
- 6:15 Dinner on the hill or in the Falls Avenue Resort.
- 7:15 Fun Pass: Dinosaur Adventure Golf, Movieland, Toy Store 4D.
- 8:30 SkyWheel as the light goes.
- 9:00 Thirty minutes of arcade with a fixed budget.
- 9:45 Pickup on Falls Avenue; back at the hotel before 10 p.m.
On a teenager-heavy night, swap the mini golf for the Speedway and push the pickup later.
Arriving the same day? Families flying into Toronto Pearson, about 121 km (75 mi) away, usually reach a Clifton Hill hotel in 1 h 30 to 1 h 45 off-peak. Check in, rest for an hour, and keep Clifton Hill for after dinner; our Toronto Pearson transfer page explains flight tracking and meet and greet, so a delayed landing does not cost you the evening.
Booking it with NiagaraFallsLimo.net in 3 steps
It takes a couple of minutes in the online booker, and the attractions hub has pages for the bigger sights near the hill.
- Enter the evening. Set your hotel as pickup and "Falls Avenue at Clifton Hill" as the drop-off, with the date and time. Add the return as a second leg, or book "By the hour" if you want the car close by.
- Choose a vehicle. A Standard SUV seats up to six; an Executive Sprinter seats up to twelve if two families are going together. The fixed fare appears with each class.
- Add the details. Child and booster seats, a note on your preferred pickup corner, and payment. Confirmation comes by email.

Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked chauffeur | 3–10 min from Fallsview; car in position when you message | Fixed fare via booker | Strollers and car seats | Families, late returns on busy nights, groups |
| Rideshare | Short ride; pickups bunch at closing time | Surge pricing likely on fireworks nights | Small trunk | Couples on a quiet weeknight |
| Taxi | Short ride; queue at busy times | Metered | Varies | One-way trips |
| WEGO Blue Line | Stops at Victoria Ave and Clifton Hill | Adult 24-hour pass $16 (as of 2026) | Day bag | Visitors without car seats, daytime |
| Walking from Fallsview | 15–25 min, with a steep hill | Free | Light | Fit adults and older children |
| Driving yourself | Short drive; parking search | Paid lot, no in-and-out | Your own | Families with a car who stay all evening |
The honest verdict: on a quiet Tuesday in March, a couple can walk down from Fallsview and grab a taxi back without trouble. On a July Saturday, with fireworks at 10 and five tired people, the walk uphill and the queue for a ride are what you remember. That is when a booked car pays for itself in calm. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide has more.
Who a Clifton Hill night suits
Families are the heart of Clifton Hill, and parents of young children benefit most from a door-to-door ride. Groups of teenagers and friends come for the Speedway and arcades and can share a Sprinter. Couples tend to do the SkyWheel and dinner, then walk to the Falls lights. Individuals visiting for work often slip down for an hour after a conference, and a short booked ride saves the uphill walk in business shoes. Frequently asked questions
What is on the Clifton Hill Fun Pass?
The Fun Pass covers six attractions: the Niagara SkyWheel, Creepy Castle, Ghost Blasters Dark Ride, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, Movieland Wax Museum and Toy Store 4D. As of 2026 the Clifton Hill site lists it at $34.95 for adults and $22.95 for children 12 and under, plus taxes. Niagara Speedway is not included.
Where do you park for Clifton Hill?
The main paid lot is at 4960 Clifton Hill, with over 700 spaces and a flat daily fee, but no overnight parking and no in-and-out privileges. On busy nights it fills. A chauffeured car drops you on Falls Avenue or at Victoria Avenue and avoids the lot.
How far is Clifton Hill from the Fallsview hotels?
About 2 km (1 mi) by road, usually 3 to 10 minutes by car. Walking takes 15 to 25 minutes and includes a steep hill, which is fine on the way down and harder on the way back up at the end of the night.
Is Clifton Hill open in winter?
Many attractions are, and the Niagara SkyWheel runs year-round with climate-controlled gondolas. Some outdoor attractions, including the Niagara Speedway, are seasonal. From mid-November the Winter Festival of Lights brings extra evening visitors to the area.
What is the best time to visit Clifton Hill?
Early evening on a weekday is calmest. Summer weekend nights are busiest, especially before and after the 10 p.m. fireworks during the fireworks season. If you want the SkyWheel at dusk, arrive about an hour before sunset and book your return pickup for after the rush.
Can a limo pick us up on Clifton Hill?
Yes. We usually set the pickup on Falls Avenue at the bottom of the hill or near Victoria Avenue at the top, confirmed in your booking notes. Message the reservations desk shortly before you are ready and the chauffeur moves into position.
What does a ride to Clifton Hill cost?
Enter your hotel and Falls Avenue in the booker and it displays a fixed all-in fare for each vehicle class before any payment. A return trip or an hourly booking both work for an evening, and pre-booked rides never carry surge pricing.
