Hotels With Falls Views: Which Ones Make Arrivals Easiest

Everyone books a falls-view room for the moment the curtains open. Fewer people think about the twenty minutes before that: the approach, the entrance, the luggage and the lobby. This is a chauffeur's view of the view hotels.

From the back seat, the view hotels of Niagara Falls announce themselves long before you reach them. Coming off the highway at night, the towers on the escarpment are lit above the trees, and the mist from the Horseshoe Falls glows under the illumination. Then the practical part begins: which boulevard, which driveway, which of three doors, and where the bags go while someone checks in. NiagaraFallsLimo.net makes these arrivals many times a week. The hotels with the best views are not always the ones with the simplest arrivals, and the difference is worth knowing before you book.

Which Niagara Falls hotels with views make arrival easiest?

Falls-view hotels sit either on Fallsview Boulevard on the escarpment or at river level on Falls Avenue by Clifton Hill. From Toronto Pearson, about 121 km (75 mi), usually 1 h 30 – 1 h 50, both are simple; from Buffalo, Falls Avenue is nearest the Rainbow Bridge. NiagaraFallsLimo.net books either online with a fixed fare.

The rest of this guide explains why, hotel group by hotel group.

Two levels of view

Niagara Falls, Ontario, has two distinct groups of hotels that face the water.

On the escarpment: Fallsview Boulevard. High above Queen Victoria Park, looking down on the Horseshoe and American Falls. Niagara Falls Tourism's Fallsview hotels list includes, among others:

  • Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites, 6361 Fallsview Boulevard;
  • Fallsview Casino Resort, 6380 Fallsview Boulevard;
  • Wyndham Grand Fallsview Hotel, 6455 Fallsview Boulevard;
  • Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview, 6700 Fallsview Boulevard, the former Embassy Suites;
  • Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa, 6740 Fallsview Boulevard;
  • Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls, 6755 Fallsview Boulevard;
  • DoubleTree Fallsview Resort & Spa by Hilton, a little further back at 6039 Fallsview Boulevard.

At river level: Falls Avenue. Lower down, beside Clifton Hill and a short walk from the Rainbow Bridge, facing the American Falls across the river:

  • Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, 5875 Falls Avenue;
  • The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, 5685 Falls Avenue, the former Crowne Plaza.

Our Fallsview hotels page covers each property's pickup notes.

Across the river: the US side. Niagara Falls, New York, has hotels too, such as Comfort Inn "The Pointe" beside the State Park and Hyatt Place on Old Falls Street. They put you close to the American Falls and Goat Island, but the classic head-on panorama of the Horseshoe Falls is seen from the Canadian side, which is why most view-room bookings are in Ontario. From Old Falls Street to the Hilton on Fallsview Boulevard is about 3.5 km by road, plus the Rainbow Bridge inspection.

From Toronto: both levels are straightforward

From Toronto Pearson, the drive to any of these hotels is about 121 km (75 mi), usually 1 h 30 – 1 h 50 off-peak via the QEW; allow 2 h or more on a summer Friday. Chauffeurs collect from the pre-arranged area at Door A, or wait inside arrivals with a sign if you choose meet and greet. Our Pearson transfer page explains both terminals.

For Toronto arrivals, the level matters less than the time of day. Fallsview Boulevard is lively in the evening: Fallsview Casino Resort hosts more than 320 shows a year across its OLG Stage and Avalon Theatre, and on show nights the boulevard fills with arriving cars. A 4 p.m. arrival is calmer than a 7 p.m. one. Falls Avenue is busy too, with Casino Niagara and Clifton Hill traffic, but the hotel driveways are close to the turn.

Book your arrival at a falls-view hotel

From Buffalo: Falls Avenue is closest to the bridge

Coming from Buffalo Niagara International (BUF), about 43 km (27 mi) and roughly 45 minutes of driving plus the border, most cars cross on the Rainbow Bridge. The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission lists 15 car inspection lanes into Canada there. Once through Canadian inspection, the Falls Avenue hotels are moments away; the Fallsview Boulevard towers are a few minutes further up the hill, about 1.6 km by road from the Sheraton to the Hilton.

For US travellers who want the arrival to be as short as possible after a flight, a Falls Avenue hotel is the quickest finish. For those who want the high Horseshoe Falls view, the extra few minutes up the escarpment are no hardship. Every passenger needs valid documents; see our Rainbow Bridge page.

The renamed hotels: use the new name

Two of the best-known view hotels have changed their names, and an old name can send a GPS, or a confused guest, to the wrong place.

  • Embassy Suites Fallsview is now the Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview, effective April 1, 2026. Hyatt describes it as its first hotel in Niagara Falls, with 611 rooms and suites on 42 floors (Hyatt newsroom). See our Hyatt Regency Fallsview page.
  • The Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview is now The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, announced in April 2025 after a renovation; the hotel lists 237 rooms and suites (The Brock). See our The Brock page.

In the booker, enter the current name and street address. If your confirmation from the hotel still shows the old brand, give us both.

Big lobbies, several doors

The view hotels are large, and the larger the hotel, the more ways in. A resort with a casino has a hotel entrance and a gaming entrance; a tower with a conference centre may have a separate convention door. Two habits make the arrival smooth:

  1. Tell us which entrance you want, or let the chauffeur use the main hotel lobby, which is almost always right for check-in.
  2. Keep the documents and valuables in the cabin, so that while one of you checks in, the other can stay with the luggage at the door.

Hotels with valet or bell staff take the bags from the car. Where there is a queue of taxis and coaches at the door, the chauffeur waits his or her turn rather than stopping in the traffic lane.

Getting down to the Falls from a view room

The view from upstairs is of the water, but the water is still a walk away. From Fallsview Boulevard to Table Rock Centre is about 3 km by road, roughly 6 minutes by car. On foot, most people use the Falls Incline Railway, which Niagara Parks describes as a year-round, accessible, climate-controlled link between the Fallsview area and Table Rock. From Falls Avenue, the riverside walk along the Niagara Parkway to the Horseshoe Falls is mostly flat.

So you rarely need a car for the Falls themselves. Where guests book us is for the evening out elsewhere: a winery dinner in Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 23 km away, or a crossing to the US side for the Maid of the Mist. The journal post on the Falls Incline Railway has more on getting down the escarpment.

Matching the view to the trip

  • Couples on an anniversary usually want the high Horseshoe Falls view; Fallsview Boulevard delivers it. See our couples page.
  • US travellers arriving late from Buffalo often prefer a Falls Avenue hotel for the short finish after the bridge.
  • Families like the Falls Avenue Resort's indoor connections to Clifton Hill and its 3-acre indoor waterpark; wherever you stay, ask for child seats in the car.
  • Business travellers with an early departure appreciate a hotel with a simple main entrance and a pickup booked the night before.

Neighbouring guides look closely at single hotels: the Marriott Fallsview arrival tips and Hilton Fallsview arrivals from Pearson.

The honest verdict: for a light traveller from Toronto, a taxi or rideshare to a Fallsview hotel is a reasonable choice, and FlixBus is good value for a solo trip. The pre-booked chauffeur is the better arrival when there is luggage, children, a late flight, a border to cross from Buffalo, or a special occasion you would rather not begin in a queue at a rank. Our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide goes further.

Who this suits

Couples booking a falls-view room for an occasion want the arrival to match it. Families with luggage and car seats gain most from a pre-booked SUV. Groups heading to a wedding at a Fallsview hotel travel together in a Sprinter or linked SUVs. Individuals on business value the known pickup and a quiet car after a flight.

Frequently asked questions

Which Niagara Falls hotel is closest to the Falls?

On the Canadian side, the Fallsview Boulevard towers at the southern end, such as the Marriott on the Falls and the Marriott Fallsview at 6755 and 6740 Fallsview Boulevard, are among the closest to the Horseshoe Falls, while the Falls Avenue hotels face the American Falls. All are a short walk or Incline Railway ride from Table Rock.

Is the Embassy Suites Fallsview still open?

The building operates as the Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview from April 1, 2026, at 6700 Fallsview Boulevard. Hyatt describes it as 611 rooms and suites on 42 floors. Use the new name and address when booking a transfer.

What happened to the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls?

The Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls-Fallsview at 5685 Falls Avenue became The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, announced in April 2025 after a renovation. It is part of the Falls Avenue Resort beside Clifton Hill.

Are Fallsview Boulevard hotels busy to reach in the evening?

They can be. Fallsview Casino Resort hosts more than 320 shows a year, and on show and fireworks nights the boulevard fills with cars. Arriving in the afternoon is usually calmer. Your chauffeur times the approach and uses the main hotel entrance for check-in.

Which falls-view hotel is best if we fly into Buffalo?

The Falls Avenue hotels, the Sheraton Fallsview and The Brock, are a few minutes from the Rainbow Bridge, so the drive ends soon after Canadian inspection. The Fallsview Boulevard towers are only about 1.6 km further by road, so either works well.

Do I need a car once I am at a falls-view hotel?

Not for the Falls. Walk, or take the Falls Incline Railway down to Table Rock. A car is worth booking for the airport legs, a winery evening in Niagara-on-the-Lake or a crossing to the US side, where waiting, distance or the border make a pre-arranged ride easier.

Can we see the Falls from a Niagara Falls, New York hotel?

US-side hotels near the State Park are close to the American Falls, the rapids and Goat Island, but the wide, head-on view of the Horseshoe Falls belongs to the Canadian side. Many guests stay in New York and cross for dinner with a view, about 3.5 km plus the bridge inspection.
