When people search for Niagara-on-the-Lake White Oaks, they are usually planning one of two very different trips. Some are organising a conference, an incentive meeting or a sales kick-off and need forty people to arrive from three airports on the same afternoon. Others want two nights of treatments, a good dinner and nobody asking them to drive. The same property serves both, and the logistics differ more than the address suggests.
White Oaks Resort & Spa is at 253 Taylor Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake, on a 15-acre site, according to the resort's website. It is not in the historic Old Town. It sits at the southern edge of the town, next to the Queen Elizabeth Way, near the Outlet Collection at Niagara. For ground transport, that location is the whole story: fast highway access, short hops to Niagara Falls, and a 20-minute drive to Queen Street.
NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives to and from this part of Taylor Road regularly. This is how we would plan both kinds of stay.
How do you get to White Oaks Resort in Niagara-on-the-Lake from the airport?
Pre-book a car. White Oaks Resort & Spa, 253 Taylor Road, is about 110 km (68 mi) from Toronto Pearson, usually 1 h 10 – 1 h 30 off-peak, and about 61 km (38 mi) from Buffalo Niagara plus a border crossing. NiagaraFallsLimo.net quotes a fixed fare in its online booker before you pay.
From Hamilton's John C. Munro airport the drive is about 75 km (47 mi), roughly an hour. Union Station in downtown Toronto is about 117 km (73 mi) away by our route planner.
Why White Oaks' Niagara-on-the-Lake location matters
Most Niagara-on-the-Lake inns sit along Queen Street or the river, a slow few kilometres from the highway. White Oaks is the opposite. The Outlet Collection's own directions tell drivers from Toronto and Hamilton to leave the QEW at Glendale Avenue and turn onto Taylor Road (Outlet Collection directions), and the resort is on the same road. In practice, that means:
- Airport runs start and finish on the highway. No village streets, no Old Town parking squeeze.
- Niagara Falls is close. Our route planner puts Fallsview about 14 km (8 mi) away, usually 15–20 minutes.
- Old Town is a short hop. Queen Street is about 17 km (10 mi), roughly 20–25 minutes, through farm roads and vineyards.
- The Lewiston-Queenston Bridge is the nearest crossing to the US. Highway 405 leads straight to it from the QEW, which makes it the natural crossing for many Buffalo transfers to White Oaks. The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission lists which vehicles each bridge accepts on its bridge guide.
For the full property profile, including the drop-off area, see our White Oaks Resort page. If you are comparing it with the inns in Old Town, our Niagara-on-the-Lake inns guide sets them side by side.
Meetings at White Oaks, Niagara-on-the-Lake: moving delegates
The resort describes more than 67,000 square feet of meeting and event space, with named rooms such as Studio 13, the Idea Loft and the Exhibition Hall (White Oaks conferences). Events of that size raise the same transport questions every time.
Arrival waves
Delegates rarely land together. A typical first day has a morning cluster on Toronto flights, a midday group from Buffalo, and a few late arrivals. The cleanest approach is to book by flight, not by person:
- Group the delegate list by airport and arrival window.
- Book one vehicle per window: an Executive Sprinter for up to 12 passengers with carry-on bags, a Standard SUV for up to 6 with 6 bags, or a sedan for single executives.
- Add each flight number so the chauffeur tracks delays; if one flight in a group lands late, split it into its own booking rather than holding the whole van.
Bags and vans
Read the luggage column carefully. The Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 people but carry-on only. For delegates with suitcases and display cases, two SUVs or a coach on request may work better than a single van. Our group transportation page explains the options.
Evening programs
Conference dinners often move off-site, to a winery in the Niagara-on-the-Lake countryside or a Fallsview restaurant above the Falls. A multi-stop or "By the hour" booking keeps the same vehicles with the group for the evening, and the chauffeurs return everyone to Taylor Road. Nobody drinks in our vehicles, which is a reassuring line for a corporate risk policy, and nobody drives after the wine pairing either.
Our corporations page covers account questions, and the journal post on planning a corporate retreat in Niagara-on-the-Lake walks through a two-day program.
Spa weekends: the couple's version
The other half of White Oaks' guests come for The Spa at White Oaks, the fitness and racquet facilities of The Club at White Oaks, and dining at LIV Restaurant or Play Bar + Grill, all listed on the resort's site. For a weekend like that, the transport plan is short:
- Friday: a chauffeur from your home in the GTA or from Pearson, arriving in time for an evening treatment or dinner.
- Saturday: stay put, or book a few hours "By the hour" for wineries on the Niagara-on-the-Lake bench and lunch in Old Town. Our Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries guide helps you choose.
- Sunday: check-out and the drive home, timed to miss the worst of the QEW.
Couples who want a quieter drive often choose a Mercedes-Benz E or S-Class. A Mercedes-Maybach or Rolls-Royce may be available for an anniversary, confirmed at booking; each takes two passengers and two bags. Our couples page has more ideas.
Spouse and partner programs during conferences
A common request from meeting planners is a day out for partners while the main group is in session: the Falls in the morning, Niagara-on-the-Lake in the afternoon, back by the welcome dinner. From White Oaks that works neatly because both are 15–25 minutes away. A Standard SUV or Executive Sprinter booked by the hour does the loop without anyone waiting on a timetable. The idea is developed in our post on conference spouse programs.
Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip
| Mode | Door-to-door time (Pearson to White Oaks) | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-booked chauffeur | About 1 h 10 – 1 h 30 off-peak | Fixed fare via booker | Matched to vehicle class | Delegates, couples, families |
| Executive Sprinter shuttle | Same drive, one trip for up to 12 | Fixed fare via booker | Carry-on only | Arrival waves of a conference |
| Rideshare | Same drive if a driver accepts | Surge pricing possible | Small boot | Solo travellers with light bags |
| Taxi | Same drive | Metered for about 110 km | Usually fine | Rarely used for this distance |
| GO train plus taxi | Train to St. Catharines or Niagara Falls, then a local ride | Published GO fare plus metered taxi | What you can carry | Budget travellers on a weekend |
| Rental car | Same drive plus resort parking | Rental and fuel | Whatever fits | Guests touring widely |
Verdict: for a short local hop, say from White Oaks to the Outlet Collection or a nearby restaurant, a taxi or rideshare is perfectly sensible. For airport arrivals, cross-border delegates and any evening with wine, a pre-booked car is the reliable choice, and for a conference it is the only way to know every delegate will arrive on time. The general comparison is in our chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide.
Buffalo arrivals and the border
Many US delegates fly into Buffalo Niagara International. The drive to White Oaks is about 61 km (38 mi), usually around an hour plus the time at Canadian inspection, which cannot be predicted. The chauffeur drives across with the passengers; every passenger must carry their own valid documents, and organisers should circulate the requirements early. Our Buffalo Niagara airport page and Lewiston-Queenston Bridge page have the details.
Late flights, winter weather and early departures
Three timing situations come up again and again for White Oaks guests:
- The last flight of the night. Delegates landing at Pearson after 11 p.m. face a 1 h 10 – 1 h 30 drive and an empty taxi rank at the far end. A tracked pickup means the car is there whatever time the plane arrives, and the resort's front desk can expect them.
- Snow on the QEW. Between December and March, lake-effect squalls can slow the highway around Hamilton and the Burlington Skyway. For departures in winter, add a weather margin to the pickup time rather than to the flight check-in.
- The 6 a.m. checkout. For early flights, book the night before and have the bags at the door. The chauffeur arrives ahead of the pickup time, and the drive to Pearson on an empty highway is usually at the short end of the range.
Planners running multi-day events often book the departure transfers at the same time as the arrivals, so the whole program is confirmed in one sitting.

Who it suits
Individuals, especially executives arriving alone, get a sedan from the gate to the lobby with a name board waiting. Couples on a spa weekend leave the car at home and keep the weekend about the spa. Families using the pool and courts can request child seats and an SUV for bags. Groups, from a board retreat to a 200-person conference, combine Sprinters, SUVs and coaches on request; the Toronto Pearson transfer page helps planners brief delegates on terminals and doors.
Frequently asked questions
Where is White Oaks Resort in Niagara-on-the-Lake?
White Oaks Resort & Spa is at 253 Taylor Road, at the southern edge of Niagara-on-the-Lake next to the QEW and near the Outlet Collection at Niagara. It is not in Old Town; Queen Street is about 17 km (10 mi) away, roughly 20–25 minutes by car.
How far is White Oaks from Niagara Falls?
About 14 km (8 mi) to the Fallsview district, usually 15–20 minutes by car. That makes it easy to combine a stay at White Oaks with an evening at the Falls, the illumination or, in season, the fireworks.
How far is White Oaks from Toronto Pearson airport?
About 110 km (68 mi), usually 1 h 10 – 1 h 30 off-peak by the QEW. Allow more on a weekday rush hour or a summer Friday. A chauffeur tracks the flight, so a delayed landing does not leave delegates waiting at the curb.
Can you shuttle conference delegates between White Oaks and dinners in Niagara Falls?
Yes. Book Executive Sprinters or SUVs "By the hour" or as multi-stop trips, and the same vehicles stay with the group for the evening. Coaches are available on request for larger groups. Nobody drinks in our vehicles, and everyone is returned to Taylor Road at the end of the night.
Which border crossing is closest to White Oaks?
The Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, reached from the QEW by Highway 405, is the nearest crossing to the United States. It is often the natural choice for Buffalo airport transfers. Each traveller carries their own valid documents, and no one can forecast the wait at inspection.
Can I book a winery afternoon from White Oaks?
Yes. A "By the hour" booking from the resort covers Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries and lunch in Old Town. The chauffeur waits between stops and drives you back. Bottles bought at wineries travel sealed in the boot.
How much is a car from Pearson to White Oaks?
The booker shows the fixed all-in fare for your pickup, drop-off and vehicle before you pay. It varies with the vehicle class and extras such as meet & greet. Traffic does not change the fare.
