Picture the usual version. Three households in the Greater Toronto Area decide on a Fallsview water park day for the kids. That becomes three cars on the QEW, three parking bills at the resort garage, one parent who is always late, and three tired drivers heading home after dark with children asleep in the back and swimsuits dripping into the upholstery. The alternative is one vehicle that collects everyone, drives them to the door on Falls Avenue and brings them home. This is how NiagaraFallsLimo.net plans those days, including the unglamorous part: what to do with eight wet towels.
How far is the Fallsview water park from Toronto, and how do groups get there?
Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is at 5685 Falls Avenue, Niagara Falls, Ontario, about 128 km (80 mi) from downtown Toronto, usually 1 h 30 – 1 h 45 off-peak and 2 h or more on a summer Friday. NiagaraFallsLimo.net collects several families in one Sprinter or SUV, with multi-stop pickups booked online.
Approximate drive times to Falls Avenue from around the region, measured on a route planner and rounded, before any extra pickup stops:
- Downtown Toronto: about 128 km (80 mi), 1 h 30 – 1 h 45 off-peak.
- Toronto Pearson area: about 121 km (75 mi), 1 h 25 – 1 h 40.
- Mississauga (Square One area): about 109 km (68 mi), 1 h 15 – 1 h 30.
- Brampton: about 123 km (77 mi), 1 h 30 – 1 h 45.
- Vaughan: about 145 km (90 mi), 1 h 45 – 2 h.
- Markham: about 155 km (96 mi), 1 h 50 – 2 h 10.
- Oakville: about 93 km (58 mi), 1 h 05 – 1 h 20.
- Hamilton: about 73 km (45 mi), around 1 h.
Add roughly 10 to 25 minutes for each additional household pickup, depending on how far apart the homes are. Summer weekends, long weekends and the Friday-evening rush on the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way, the main highway between Toronto and Niagara) all stretch these numbers. For the main route options, see Toronto to Niagara Falls.
What the Fallsview water park is like, in practical terms
The waterpark's own site describes sixteen waterslides up to six storeys high, a large indoor wave pool with three- to four-foot waves, a hot springs area, and a seasonal outdoor patio pool. Water is heated to 84–86°F and the air kept at 86°F, so the clothes children arrive in matter far less than the clothes they leave in.
A few rules worth knowing before you plan the group:
- Everyone who enters needs a wristband, including adults who only watch from the side.
- Children under 13 must be with an adult aged 16 or over, and that adult must stay in the park.
- Height limits apply. The tube slides and Canadian Plunge need riders of at least 42 inches; mat racing slides need 48 inches; the Beach House slides are for children 16 and under.
- The hot springs are adults only, 16 and over.
- The Tiny Tots Splash Park closes daily between 1:30 and 3:00 pm for a complete water exchange. Plan lunch for the little ones around it. If the youngest need a quieter break, Bird Kingdom is about 600 m down the road.
- Towels are not provided free. Bring your own or buy them in the retail area.
- Lockers are digital, rented at self-serve kiosks that take credit cards only.
Day passes can be bought on site but are subject to capacity limits. The park recommends buying online in advance, which matters for a big group arriving on a Saturday. Our companion post on Fallsview waterpark tickets and day passes goes into passes, packages and timing.

Choosing the vehicle when everyone travels together
The right vehicle depends on headcount and bags, and for a waterpark day the bags are the tricky part.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags | Waterpark fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard SUV (Suburban / Yukon XL) | up to 6 | 6 | Two small families, or one large one with a full pool bag each |
| Executive Black SUV (Escalade / Navigator) | up to 6 | 6 | Same space, more polished interior for a birthday |
| Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz) | up to 12 | carry-on only | Three families with soft backpacks rather than suitcases |
| Stretch SUV Limousine | up to 16 | minimal | A celebration where the ride is part of the fun; very little luggage space |
| Coach | on request | on request | School groups, clubs and very large parties |
The Sprinter is usually the answer for multi-family groups, but take the "carry-on only" seriously. Ask everyone to pack one soft backpack per person rather than a rolling bag, and put the wet-bag kit (below) in a single shared tote. If the group is bigger than twelve, or carries more than day bags, two SUVs travelling together often work better than one large vehicle. Our group transportation page and stretch limo and Sprinter page compare the options.
The booker offers child, toddler and booster seats; list each child's age in the notes so the right ones go in ahead of the trip.
Multi-stop pickups without the chaos
The booker's multi-stop mode lets you set one pickup after another. A few habits make it run on time:
- Order the stops geographically, ending with the household closest to the highway.
- Give each household a five-minute window, not a vague "around nine". The chauffeur will message as the car approaches each stop.
- Have bags at the door. Loading eight children and their backpacks takes longer than anyone expects.
- Put one adult in charge of tickets. If day passes are bought online, one phone with all of them saves a scramble at the desk.
- Leave earlier than seems necessary on a summer weekend. Arriving at opening time beats arriving with the queue.
On the way home, the same stops run in reverse. Many groups ask for the closest-to-the-highway household to be dropped first, so the longest ride goes to the families who live furthest out and the car empties steadily.
The wet-bag plan
This is the part nobody talks about and everybody remembers. A waterpark day ends with damp swimsuits, damp towels and, often, damp children. A simple routine keeps it under control:
- One waterproof bag per family for swimsuits and towels. Reusable dry bags or heavy-duty zip bags both work.
- A full change of dry clothes for each child, packed separately, worn out of the park.
- Dry hair before you leave the park, not in the car. Ten extra minutes makes a long ride home far more comfortable in winter.
- Tell us when you book. The reservations desk can make sure the chauffeur has a liner for the boot.
- Snacks for the drive. Children leave a waterpark hungry. Pack something light; meals are best eaten at the resort's restaurants before departure.
Our cars are alcohol-free by regional by-law, and that applies to adults celebrating a survived day too. Save it for home.
Overnight instead of a day trip
Some groups decide that two hours each way is too much for one day with small children. The waterpark's hotel packages include admission for up to four guests and run from 1 pm on arrival day until 3 pm the next. The park lists packages at the Sheraton Fallsview Hotel, Skyline Hotel & Waterpark, Clifton Victoria Inn at the Falls and The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. The Sheraton, Skyline and The Brock connect to the park by indoor walkways; the Clifton Victoria Inn is directly across the street. All sit on the 20-acre Falls Avenue Resort, with indoor access to Casino Niagara and Clifton Hill.
Another indoor waterpark resort, Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls, is about 5 km away on Victoria Avenue, with a 100,000-square-foot water park; see our Great Wolf Lodge page. Families splitting their weekend between the two are a short car hop apart.
For an overnight, book two point-to-point transfers rather than one long day: home to hotel on day one, hotel to home on day two. Our page on The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview, or the Sheraton Fallsview, for arrival notes.
If the group is flying in, transfers from Toronto Pearson run about 121 km (75 mi) to Falls Avenue, with flight tracking so the car waits for a late landing.
Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip
For a waterpark day from the GTA, the comparison is really between driving yourselves and one shared vehicle. Rideshare and taxis are not realistic for a group of twelve over 120 km, though they work for short hops once you are in Niagara.
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) | 1 h 30 – 2 h per car from Toronto | Surge pricing; several cars needed | Small bags; car seats rarely offered | A couple without children |
| Taxi | Similar to rideshare | Metered over a long distance | Small bags | Short local hops in Niagara |
| GO train plus a local hop | Varies with schedule and connections | Published GO Transit fares | What you can carry | Teens and adults travelling light |
| Several family cars | 1 h 30 – 2 h each | Fuel plus resort garage parking per car | Plenty | Families who enjoy driving |
| One chauffeured Sprinter or SUV | 1 h 30 – 2 h plus pickup stops | Fixed fare via booker | Soft bags, seats fitted | Multi-family groups and birthdays |
The verdict, honestly: one family that loves road trips and has its own seats can drive and be fine, though the resort garage charges by the hour (the waterpark lists $5–10 an hour up to $40 a day per vehicle, as of 2026). Teenagers travelling light may enjoy the GO train. For two or three families with young children, one shared chauffeured vehicle removes the convoy, the parking and the tired drive home in the dark. The chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide covers the broader trade-offs.

Who it suits
Families, especially two or three travelling together, gain the most: one car, fitted seats and no driver who has to stay alert after a long day in warm water. Our families page explains how we plan for children. Groups such as birthday parties, sports teams or school-break outings suit the Sprinter or a coach. Families who came for the animals once found at the old marine park should read what to do now that Marineland is closed. Couples visiting without children rarely need this level of transport, though the overnight packages can still make a pleasant mid-winter break. Individuals joining a family group from another city can be collected separately and meet everyone at the hotel.
Frequently asked questions
Can you buy Fallsview water park tickets at the door?
Yes, day passes are sold at Waterpark Guest Services, but they are subject to capacity limits. The waterpark recommends buying online in advance, which is the safer choice for a large group on a weekend or holiday.
Do adults who do not swim need a ticket?
Yes. The waterpark requires everyone who enters to buy a wristband and wear it at all times, including adults who are only supervising children. Plan the headcount for passes accordingly.
Is parking included at the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark?
No. The park says parking is not included with admission and is available in the attached garage, charged by the hour with a daily maximum. Arriving by chauffeur avoids the garage entirely: you are dropped at the entrance and collected there.
How many people fit in a Sprinter for a waterpark trip?
An Executive Sprinter holds a dozen people, with room for carry-on bags only. Pack one soft backpack per person and a shared bag for wet things. For more luggage or more than twelve people, two SUVs or a coach on request are better choices.
Can we be picked up from several houses in the GTA?
Yes. Use the multi-stop mode in the booker and enter each address in order. The fixed fare reflects the full route. Allow roughly 10 to 25 minutes per extra pickup, and keep each household ready at the door.
Which hotels connect to the Fallsview waterpark?
The waterpark says the Sheraton Fallsview, Skyline Hotel & Waterpark and The Brock Niagara Falls-Fallsview connect by indoor walkways, and the Clifton Victoria Inn at the Falls is across the street. Hotel waterpark packages include admission for up to four guests over two days.
Is the waterpark open all year?
Yes, it is an indoor park kept at a constant temperature, so it works in January as well as July. The outdoor Sunnyside patio pool is seasonal and weather dependent. Check the daily hours on the waterpark's site before you set your pickup time.
