A half-day on Clifton Hill is a question of arithmetic. How many attractions can a family of four reasonably enjoy between a late breakfast and an early dinner, and does the Clifton Hill Fun Pass save time as well as money? We get asked this at the reservations desk often enough that it deserves a written answer, built around a four-hour chauffeured booking: the car brings you to the hill, holds your bags while you play, and takes you on to the next part of the day. NiagaraFallsLimo.net has run this shape of booking for day-trippers from Toronto and for families staying in the Fallsview towers, and the plan below is the one we suggest.
What does the Clifton Hill Fun Pass include?
The Clifton Hill Fun Pass covers six attractions on Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls, Ontario, including the Niagara SkyWheel, and is valid for one year with one visit per attraction. Clifton Hill is about 1.7 km (1 mi) from the Fallsview hotels. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drops you there; book a four-hour car in the online booker.
The official Fun Pass page describes it as six attractions for one price, and names these among them:
- Niagara SkyWheel
- Creepy Castle
- Ghost Blasters Dark Ride
- Movieland Wax Museum
- Carnival Chaos
- Toy Store 4D
- Wizards' Golf and Dinosaur Adventure Golf
The page lists more names than the pass count, so check the current line-up at purchase. The rules that shape a half-day plan:
- Valid for one year from the date of purchase.
- One visit per attraction, in any order you like.
- No substitutions: you cannot swap an attraction for something not on the pass.
- Mobile tickets are redeemed at the Niagara SkyWheel entrance. The person named on the order needs matching photo ID.
- Child rate applies to ages 3 to 12.
As of October 2026 the page showed a fall and winter price of CA$34.95 for adults and CA$22.95 for children, plus taxes. Groups of 15 or more can ask Clifton Hill for group rates.
Why four hours is the right frame
Clifton Hill is compact. Everything on the pass is within a few minutes' walk of the SkyWheel, so the time goes on queues and the attractions themselves, not on moving between them. The only ride with a published length is the SkyWheel, at about 8–12 minutes in a climate-controlled gondola, according to the SkyWheel page. The rest depend on the day: a dark ride on a quiet November weekday is a walk-on; the same ride on an August Saturday is not.
In practice:
- Three hours covers four or five attractions at a relaxed pace on a quiet day.
- Four hours covers the full pass, a quick lunch and a walk to see the falls, with slack for one queue.
- Six hours or more is only needed if you add the Niagara Speedway, Bird Kingdom or a boat tour.
The pass's one-year validity takes the pressure off. If the children flag after four attractions, keep the rest for the next visit.
The half-day itinerary, hour by hour
This is the order we give families with children between about 6 and 12. Times assume a 10:30 a.m. pickup in the Fallsview district.
Hour one: arrive and ride the wheel. Your chauffeur drops you at the top of Clifton Hill on Victoria Avenue, beside the SkyWheel. Redeem the passes at the SkyWheel entrance, then ride first, before the midday queue builds. On a clear morning you look down across Queen Victoria Park to the Horseshoe Falls.
Hour two: the outdoor mini golf. Dinosaur Adventure Golf is the one to play while it is dry. If rain is forecast, swap it for Wizards' Golf, the glow-in-the-dark course indoors.
Hour three: the indoor run. Creepy Castle, Ghost Blasters Dark Ride, Toy Store 4D and Carnival Chaos are short, indoor and close together. Do them back to back. Movieland Wax Museum suits a slower moment, or a younger child who needs a break from noise.
Hour four: lunch and the falls. Eat on the hill, then walk down to Falls Avenue and across to the railing for the view. Your chauffeur meets you at the bottom of the hill, and you are back at the hotel for a rest, or on the way to the next stop.
Where the car goes while you play
On an hourly booking, the vehicle stays close by and does three jobs:
- Locker. Coats, a stroller once the toddler is walking, shopping and spare clothes stay in the car. Clifton Hill has no public storage.
- Flexible exit. If a child melts down after the second attraction, you message the chauffeur and the car comes to the nearest corner.
- Second half of the day. The same booking can carry on to Table Rock, the Niagara Parkway or the hotel pool.
If you only want drop-off and pickup, book two point-to-point rides with a fixed return time instead. Our hourly chauffeur page explains how each mode works.
Opening hours and small print
Before you set the pickup time, check the Clifton Hill hours page. In October 2026 it showed the SkyWheel opening at 10:00 a.m. daily, while some attractions, such as Toy Store 4D on weekdays, did not open until noon. A 10:30 a.m. start therefore means the wheel first and the indoor rides later, which is the order above.
A few other notes from the pass's own FAQ:
- Pets are not allowed in the attractions; service animals are welcome in most locations, though the rides are not designed for them.
- A lost pass can be recovered by bringing your receipt to any participating attraction.
- The pass can be bought as a gift, as long as the person redeeming it is named on the order.
If anyone in your party uses a wheelchair, tell us when you book; the booker has a wheelchair option, and Clifton Hill describes its main lot as wheelchair accessible.
Rainy-day and winter versions
The SkyWheel runs year-round, and most of the pass is indoors, which makes the Fun Pass one of the better wet-weather plans in Niagara Falls. Swap the outdoor mini golf for Wizards' Golf and the day barely changes. If the rain sets in, the car can take you on to Bird Kingdom, the indoor aviary a short walk from the falls; our post on rainy-day Niagara Falls attractions by car has more.
In winter the hill is quieter, the queues short and the Winter Festival of Lights, from November 14, 2026 to January 10, 2027, makes a natural evening sequel. Niagara Parks lights the falls every night of the year; its illumination schedule gives the start times, as early as about 4:30 p.m. in November and December.
Turning it into a Toronto day trip
Many families do this as a day out from Toronto. Downtown Toronto to Clifton Hill is about 130 km (81 mi), usually 1 h 20 – 1 h 40 off-peak and 2 hours or more on a summer Friday. A chauffeured day might look like:
- 8:30 a.m. pickup in Toronto, arrival around 10:15 a.m.
- The four-hour Fun Pass plan above.
- A late lunch, Table Rock and the falls.
- Departure around 4 p.m., home before the worst of the QEW evening traffic in the other direction.
Our Toronto to Niagara Falls day tour page covers this format, and the Toronto to Niagara Falls route page explains the drive. Arriving at Pearson instead? The airport is about 120–130 km (75–81 mi) from the Falls; see Toronto Pearson transfers.
Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Walking from Fallsview | 20–30 min down, longer back up | Free | None | Adults and older children |
| WEGO bus | 10–30 min, with stops | Adult 24-hour pass CA$16, child CA$12, as of 2026 | Carry it yourself | Families spending the day on WEGO routes |
| Rideshare (Uber, Lyft) | 3–10 min, plus wait | Surge pricing at busy times | Boot space varies | Couples and small families without car seats |
| Taxi | 3–10 min, plus rank or dispatch | Metered | Standard boot | One-way hops |
| Driving yourself | 5–10 min, plus paid parking | Clifton Hill lot and fuel | Your own car | Families with their own car seats and car |
| Private chauffeur, 4 hours | Door to hill, waiting on call | Fixed fare via booker | Coats, stroller and shopping stay in the car | Day-trippers from Toronto, car-seat families, rainy days |
The honest verdict. If you are staying on Falls Avenue or Clifton Hill itself, you do not need any transport for this plan; walk out of the lobby. If you are in the Fallsview towers, a rideshare down and back is reasonable for a couple. The four-hour car earns its place for day-trippers from Toronto, families who need child seats, anyone combining the hill with Table Rock or the Parkway the same day, and groups who want one vehicle. See how to book a limo for the questions to ask any operator.
Booking it with NiagaraFallsLimo.net in 3 steps
- Choose "By the hour". Enter your hotel or Toronto address, Clifton Hill as the first stop, and the start time.
- Pick the vehicle. A Standard SUV for up to six with car seats; an Executive Sprinter for up to twelve. Each shows its fixed fare before you pay.
- Add seats and pay. Child, toddler and booster seats are in the booker. Secure payment, email confirmation.
Who this plan suits
Families are the obvious fit, and our families page explains child-seat options. Groups of cousins or a school-age birthday party can share an Executive Sprinter and one pickup. Couples tend to do two or three attractions, usually the SkyWheel and the mini golf, and walk the rest. Individuals rarely buy the pass. For more ideas once the pass is used, see things to do in Niagara Falls, our Niagara Falls itineraries, the core Clifton Hill page and our Clifton Hill night out plan. Teenagers will want the go-karts: see Niagara Speedway nights.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Clifton Hill Fun Pass worth it?
It suits families who plan to do most of the attractions on it, including the Niagara SkyWheel. The pass is valid for one year with one visit per attraction, so you need not finish it in a day. If you only want the SkyWheel and one mini golf, compare individual ticket prices on the official site first.
How long does the Clifton Hill Fun Pass take to complete?
A relaxed family can finish all six attractions in about four hours on a quiet day, including lunch. On busy summer weekends, queues stretch that. Because the pass lasts a year, many visitors split it over two days, for example the SkyWheel one evening and the rest the next morning.
Can I use the Fun Pass on different days?
Yes. Clifton Hill says the pass is good for one year from purchase, and each attraction can be visited once, in any order. That makes it easy to spread across a weekend or to save unused attractions for a later trip.
Where do I pick up my Clifton Hill Fun Pass?
If you bought online and show the ticket on your phone, redeem it at the Niagara SkyWheel entrance. Printed confirmations can be exchanged at any attraction on the pass, though the SkyWheel entrance is recommended. The person named on the order needs matching photo ID.
How long is the Niagara SkyWheel ride?
About 8 to 12 minutes. The SkyWheel rises 175 feet, and its climate-controlled gondolas run year-round, so it works in rain and winter as well as summer. It is one of the attractions included in the Clifton Hill Fun Pass.
Can a chauffeur wait while we use the Fun Pass?
Yes. Book "By the hour" with NiagaraFallsLimo.net and the car stays nearby, holding coats, strollers and shopping, and meets you at the corner you choose. The booker shows the fixed all-in fare for a four-hour booking, or any other length, before you pay.
What can we do on Clifton Hill if it rains?
Most Fun Pass attractions are indoors, and the SkyWheel gondolas are enclosed and climate-controlled. Swap the outdoor Dinosaur Adventure Golf for the indoor Wizards' Golf. Bird Kingdom, an indoor aviary a short walk from the falls, is another rainy-day option.
