A convention weekend in Niagara Falls has its own rhythm. Hotel lobbies on Fallsview Boulevard fill with people in armour and capes at 9 a.m.; Stanley Avenue backs up just before the doors open; and on the last afternoon, exhibitors are loading vans while attendees try to get to Pearson for an evening flight. Niagara Falls Comic Con is the best known of these weekends, but the same patterns hold for trade shows, sports expos and conferences at the same building.
NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives attendees, guests and exhibitors to and from the convention centre, from the Toronto and Buffalo airports, and between the hotels. Here is what we have learned about getting there smoothly.
Where is Niagara Falls Comic Con held, and how do you get there?
Niagara Falls Comic Con is held at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre, 6815 Stanley Avenue, about 900 m (a 12-minute walk) from the Fallsview Boulevard hotels and about 122 km (76 mi) from Toronto Pearson, usually 1 h 35 off-peak. NiagaraFallsLimo.net drives there from any airport or hotel; the booker shows the fixed fare.
The building has gone by more than one name; many visitors still know it as the Scotiabank Convention Centre. Its operator, Falls Conventions, describes 200,000 square feet of pillar-free event space and more than 4,000 branded hotel rooms within walking distance. It sits on Stanley Avenue, just west of the southern end of the Fallsview hotel strip.
When is the next Niagara Falls Comic Con?
According to the organizers' official site, the next event is the Holiday Edition on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.
The main three-day show is usually held in late May or early June. The 2026 edition ran from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7, with hours of 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Clifton Hill events listing. At the time of writing, the organizers had opened exhibitor applications for 2027 but had not published the 2027 dates. Book transport once the dates are confirmed, and hotels sooner.
Distances from where you will be staying or landing
| From | To the convention centre | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview | about 0.9 km on foot | about 12 min walk |
| Fallsview Casino Resort | about 1.0 km on foot | about 13 min walk |
| Falls Avenue hotels (Sheraton Fallsview, The Brock) | about 2.4 km on foot | about 30 min walk; about 5 min by car |
| Toronto Pearson (YYZ) | about 122 km (76 mi) | 1 h 35 off-peak; 2 h+ on a Friday afternoon |
| Downtown Toronto (Union Station) | about 129 km (80 mi) | 1 h 35 – 1 h 50 off-peak |
| Buffalo Niagara (BUF) | about 43 km (27 mi) | about 45 min plus the border |
From the Fallsview hotels, most people walk. From Falls Avenue and Clifton Hill hotels, or from anywhere on Lundy's Lane, a ride makes sense, especially in costume.
Coming from Buffalo means a border crossing, and every attendee needs their own accepted documents; see documents for entering Canada. Coming from Toronto, our Pearson transfer page covers flight tracking and where to meet.
Costumes, props and the border
The organizers' policies page sets out its costume weapons rules. In summary:
- No functional weapons are allowed.
- Simulated or costume weapons may be worn with a costume, but must be checked at the Weapons Check Desk outside the main hall, tagged, and matched with a wristband.
- Projectile weapons must be made non-functional, and swords must be fastened so they cannot be drawn.
- Costume weapons must comply with provincial and federal law.
If you are crossing the border with props, remember that you will be asked what you are carrying. Declare anything that looks like a weapon, and leave anything questionable at home. The convention's rules and the border's rules are separate, and the border officer's view is the one that matters at the booth.
Luggage: choose the vehicle for the costume, not the passenger count
This is where convention weekends go wrong. Six friends with six garment bags, two wig boxes and a foam broadsword do not fit the vehicle that would carry six people with carry-ons.
| Group | Vehicle | Luggage note |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 people, light costumes | Standard Sedan | 2 large bags |
| Up to 6 with full costume luggage | Standard SUV or Executive Black SUV | 6 bags |
| Up to 12, travelling light | Executive Sprinter | Carry-on only, so costumes must be worn or minimal |
| 12+ with gear | Two SUVs, or a coach on request | Split people and luggage across vehicles |
Stretch limousines and party buses carry minimal luggage. They are fine for a night out after the con, not for arrival day with props. Our stretch limo and Sprinter page explains the differences, and group transportation covers larger parties.

Timing the day
- Doors-opening crunch. Traffic on Stanley Avenue and the streets around the convention centre tends to build in the half hour before the doors open, and again at closing. Plan a drop-off fifteen to twenty minutes early.
- Pickup at close. Agree a pickup time and a meeting point with your chauffeur before you go in. Crowds leave at once, and finding a car among dozens is easier when you have arranged it in advance.
- Departure day. The Sunday close is earlier. For a flight out of Pearson, leave at least three hours of margin on a summer Sunday, more for international flights.
- Weather. In June it can be hot in costume on the walk from Falls Avenue; in December it can be icy. Both are good reasons for a short ride.
Exhibitors, guests and organizers
Exhibitors arriving with stock usually bring their own vans and handle load-in through the venue's own procedures. What they often need from us is everything else: airport pickups for staff and celebrity guests, transfers between hotels and the convention centre, and an evening car to dinner. Event teams can see how we work with planners on our event and wedding planners page.
For guests who value privacy, our chauffeurs are discreet and NDAs are available on request. We are not a security company; the booker offers a VIP security add-on that works alongside a client's own team.
After hours, and other convention weekends
When the hall closes, the weekend moves outside. Clifton Hill is about 2.5 km away, the falls are lit every night of the year, and the Fallsview Casino Resort is a short walk away for attendees aged 19 and over. A costume that was perfect in the hall can be heavy on a long evening walk, so many groups book a car from the hotel to dinner and back. Remember the house rule: no drinking in our vehicles, which Niagara Region's by-law forbids.
The same building hosts trade shows, association conferences, sports and wedding expos through the year. The pattern is the same each time:
- Delegates on Fallsview Boulevard walk.
- Delegates on Falls Avenue, Clifton Hill or Lundy's Lane need a short ride at the start and end of the day.
- The airport legs, from Pearson, Buffalo or Hamilton, are where most of the planning effort belongs.
For hotel options close to the hall, see our Fallsview hotels page.
Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip
| Mode | Door-to-door time | Cost note | Luggage | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Walking | 12–13 min from Fallsview hotels | Free | What you can carry | Fallsview guests in light costume |
| Rideshare | Short in town; slow at closing time | Surge pricing at busy times | Standard trunk | Small parties without props |
| Taxi | Similar to rideshare | Metered | Standard trunk | Quick hops from Clifton Hill or Lundy's Lane |
| Train or bus from Toronto | 2 h+ with connections | FlixBus from $20.98 Toronto–Niagara Falls (as of 2026) | Limited for costume bags | Light travellers on a budget |
| Private chauffeur | Direct, timed to doors-open and close | Fixed fare via booker | Matched to the vehicle | Airport arrivals, groups with costumes, guests and exhibitors |
Verdict: if you are staying on Fallsview Boulevard and your costume is wearable, walk; it is twelve minutes. For a short hop from Falls Avenue on a quiet morning, a taxi or rideshare is fine. A pre-booked car is the better choice for the airport legs, for groups with garment bags and props, for a guaranteed pickup when the hall empties, and for anyone crossing from the US side. Our guide to booking a limo covers the basics.
Booking it with NiagaraFallsLimo.net in 3 steps
- Enter the venue. In the online booker, use 6815 Stanley Avenue, Niagara Falls as the drop-off or pickup, with your airport, train or hotel at the other end, and add flight numbers.
- Size for luggage. Compare vehicle classes; each shows passengers, bags and a fixed fare before you pay. Choose by bags, not just seats.
- Confirm and share. Add passengers and any extras, pay securely and forward the email confirmation to everyone in your group.
Who this suits
Groups of friends in costume with luggage to match are the most common convention bookings. Families with children in costume like a door-to-door ride after a long day on their feet. Couples and individual attendees flying in from further away save the most by booking the airport legs. Guests, exhibitors and organizers book cars for hotel transfers and dinners.
