Plenty of people still plan their Niagara Falls dinner show night around Oh Canada Eh? Parents remember it from their own childhood trips, travel forums from a decade ago still recommend it, and some booking sites never took the listing down. So the first job of this guide is to save you a wasted search: the Niagara Falls production is no longer running. The second job is more useful. Niagara still does dinner-and-a-show evenings very well, and several of them are a short, simple ride from the hotel districts.

What follows explains what happened to the show, where a separate version still plays, and which Niagara Falls dinner show options work today for families, couples and groups, with the timing and transport details that make each one easy. NiagaraFallsLimo.net fits in as the car that gets everyone there before the first course and home after the curtain.

Is the Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Show still running in Niagara Falls?

No. The Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Show's Niagara Falls theatre on Lundy's Lane closed permanently in 2020. For a dinner show today, the Greg Frewin Theatre on Ellen Avenue pairs a 6 pm buffet with a 7:30 pm magic show. NiagaraFallsLimo.net covers the 2 km from Fallsview in minutes; book online with a fixed fare.

The show began in the 1990s and moved into an oversized log cabin on Lundy's Lane in 1999, where performers served a family-style Canadian dinner between musical numbers. In June 2020, during the pandemic, the company announced that the Niagara Falls location was permanently closed after 26 seasons. Some map and review sites still show the old listing, so treat any "book now" link for the Niagara version with suspicion.

A separately run production of Oh Canada Eh? plays in Ottawa, where the official site lists the show at 330 Kent Street, describes a two-hour family-friendly evening with an all-Canadian meal, and sells tickets online (Oh Canada Eh? Ottawa). Ottawa is roughly 580 km (360 mi) from Niagara Falls, about six and a half to seven hours by road, so it is a separate trip rather than an evening out. If you are travelling on to the capital anyway, our Niagara Falls to Ottawa and Montreal route covers that drive.

Greg Frewin Theatre: today's Niagara Falls dinner show

For a sit-down evening with dinner and a stage in the same building, the Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre at 5781 Ellen Avenue is the current answer. World-champion magician Greg Frewin and illusionist Alexandra perform Niagara Magic Live, a production billed as family-friendly.

The schedule published through Niagara Falls Tourism for autumn 2026 (Niagara Magic Live):

  • Optional buffet dinner from 6:00 pm; dinner guests are asked to arrive by 5:45 pm.
  • Show at 7:30 pm; show-only guests should arrive by 7:00 pm.
  • Run listed from July 30 to December 30, with performance dates varying through each month, so check the calendar on the theatre's own site before you plan (Greg Frewin Theatre).

Ellen Avenue is a short walk from Clifton Hill, and about 2 km from the Fallsview hotel towers, a five-minute drive. From the motels and hotels along Lundy's Lane, where many families stay, it is roughly 5 km, around ten minutes. Our page on Clifton Hill and Lundy's Lane hotels lists pickup points in that part of town.

For a family, the Frewin night has a few practical advantages over the old musical: an earlier finish, an all-ages audience and a building close to the hotel districts, so younger children are back in bed at a reasonable hour.

A dinner with the Falls as the show: Skylon Tower

Not every dinner show needs performers. The Skylon Tower's Revolving Dining Room at 5200 Robinson Street sits 775 ft above the Falls and turns a full circle once an hour, so the view changes from the Horseshoe Falls to the American Falls to the city lights over a single meal. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner, and the elevator ride and observation deck are included with the meal. Time the booking to the start of the nightly illumination and the lighting becomes the entertainment. The Skylon Tower page has drop-off notes, and our journal post on Skylon Tower dinners by limousine goes into detail.

Dinner and a headliner at Fallsview Casino Resort

Fallsview Casino Resort at 6380 Fallsview Boulevard has two theatres, the roughly 5,000-seat OLG Stage and the 1,559-seat Avalon Theatre, which together host more than 320 shows a year, including concerts, comedy and full productions. Its restaurants include 21 Club Steak and Seafood and Ponte Vecchio, and the Avalon sits in the Galleria shopping area across from Ponte Vecchio, so dinner and the show are about a minute's walk apart (Avalon Theatre).

Both theatres are all-ages, with a ticket required for everyone and children 12 and under accompanied by an adult, but the casino floors you pass through are 19+. For an adults-only version, Yuk Yuk's comedy club inside the Wyndham Grand Fallsview serves a pub-style menu at the tables during the show, which makes dinner and stand-up a single booking; see our post on live music and comedy nights in Niagara Falls.

The Shaw Festival: dinner in Old Town, theatre after

The most grown-up dinner-and-theatre evening in the region is in Niagara-on-the-Lake, about 23 km (14 mi) or 25–30 minutes from Fallsview. The Shaw Festival performs in the Festival Theatre, the Court House Theatre and the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre, and restaurants along Queen Street make an early dinner easy before an evening curtain.

The main 2026 season closed in mid-October, but the festival's holiday programme continues: Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella runs from November 8 to December 23, and A Year with Frog and Toad from November 5 to December 23 (Shaw Festival). Both suit families, and December evenings in Old Town, with the lights on Queen Street, are a good reason to make it a night. Our Shaw Festival page explains theatre drop-offs.

How to plan a Niagara Falls dinner show evening without stress

  1. Work backwards from curtain. A 7:30 pm show with a 6:00 pm buffet means leaving a Fallsview hotel by about 5:30 pm, and a Lundy's Lane motel a few minutes earlier.
  2. Tell the venue about dietary needs ahead. Buffets and set menus are easier to adjust with notice.
  3. Agree the pickup before you go in. Show endings are predictable. Pick a time about 15 minutes after the advertised finish.
  4. Check ages. Casino floors, Yuk Yuk's and lounges are 19+; Greg Frewin, the casino theatres with a ticket, Skylon and the Shaw holiday shows welcome families.
  5. Keep drinks at the table. Niagara Region's vehicle-for-hire by-law forbids drinking in licensed vehicles, so the bar is part of dinner, not the ride.
  6. Add the Falls on the way home. The Falls are illuminated every night of the year, so ask the chauffeur to take the Niagara Parkway past Table Rock after the show. Children who missed the lights earlier get a slow look from the back seat, and nobody has to find parking to see them.

Book a car for your dinner show

Chauffeur vs rideshare vs taxi for this trip

Most dinner-show venues sit within a few kilometres of the main hotels, so a taxi often does the job. Here is the honest breakdown.

ModeDoor-to-door timeCost noteLuggage / groupBest for
Walking5–20 minutes from Clifton Hill to Ellen AvenueFreeNoneCouples staying near Clifton Hill
WEGO busDepends on route and evening timetablePublished day-pass faresSharedBudget travellers comfortable with transfers
Rideshare appUsually quick before a show, slower afterSurge pricing when venues emptyUsually 4 ridersShort hops for two
TaxiShort wait off-peakMeteredUsually 4 ridersSmall groups going a few kilometres
Private chauffeurDoor to door, car waiting after the showFixed fare via bookerSedan to 12-seat SprinterFamilies with car seats, grandparents, groups, Shaw nights from Fallsview

The verdict: two people staying near Clifton Hill can walk to the Frewin theatre, and a taxi is fine for a short hop. Book a chauffeur when you are a family of five or six with car seats, when grandparents would rather not walk the hill, when the evening is in Niagara-on-the-Lake, or when you are coming in from Toronto, about 130 km (81 mi) or 1 h 30 – 1 h 45 away in evening traffic. The chauffeur vs taxi vs rideshare guide sets out the comparison in full.

Booking it with NiagaraFallsLimo.net in 3 steps

  1. Enter your route. In the online booker, put your hotel as pickup and the theatre or restaurant as drop-off, with the arrival time the venue asks for.
  2. Choose a vehicle that fits the family. A Standard SUV or Executive Black SUV seats six with room for strollers; an Executive Sprinter takes up to twelve. The fixed fare shows for each class.
  3. Add the extras and pay. Child, toddler and booster seats are in the booker, along with the return time and passenger count. Pay securely and the confirmation arrives by email.

If the evening changes, the cancellation clock runs from the scheduled pickup: no charge beyond 72 hours, 10% within 72 hours, 50% within 48 hours, and 100% within 24 hours or for a no-show.

Who this suits

Individuals travelling alone often enjoy a Skylon dinner or a casino headliner and value a car that is simply there afterward. Couples can choose between the revolving room, a Shaw evening in Old Town and a comedy night with dinner at the table. Families are the reason most people searched for Oh Canada Eh? in the first place; the Greg Frewin magic show, with its 6 pm buffet and early finish, is the closest modern match, and our families page covers car seats and larger vehicles. Groups, from reunions to school-age teams with chaperones, can travel in one Sprinter and keep everyone together. For more evening ideas, see things to do in Niagara Falls.

Frequently asked questions

Is Oh Canada Eh? still open in Niagara Falls?

No. The Niagara Falls production on Lundy's Lane closed permanently in 2020, during the pandemic, after 26 seasons. A separately run Oh Canada Eh? show continues in Ottawa at 330 Kent Street. In Niagara Falls, the Greg Frewin Theatre's dinner-and-magic evening is the closest current alternative.

What dinner shows are in Niagara Falls, Ontario?

The main dinner-and-show option is Niagara Magic Live at the Greg Frewin Theatrical Centre, 5781 Ellen Avenue, with an optional 6 pm buffet and a 7:30 pm show. Other evenings combine dinner and entertainment in one building, such as Ponte Vecchio and the Avalon Theatre at Fallsview Casino Resort, or a pub-style menu during a Yuk Yuk's comedy show.

Is the Greg Frewin magic show good for children?

It is billed as a family-friendly production, and it finishes early enough for younger children. Seating and dinner options are listed on the theatre's own website, and performance dates vary through each month, so check the calendar before you plan your evening and book the car to match.

How early should we arrive for the Greg Frewin dinner and show?

The published schedule asks buffet guests to arrive by 5:45 pm for the 6:00 pm dinner, and show-only guests by 7:00 pm for the 7:30 pm performance. From a Fallsview hotel, a pickup about 15 minutes before those times is enough; from Lundy's Lane, allow a few minutes more.

Is there a dinner theatre in Niagara-on-the-Lake?

Niagara-on-the-Lake is home to the Shaw Festival, and many visitors pair an early dinner on Queen Street with an evening performance. For the 2026 holiday season, Cinderella runs November 8 to December 23 and A Year with Frog and Toad runs November 5 to December 23. The town is about 23 km from Fallsview.

Can a limo wait during the dinner show?

Yes. Book the evening in the "By the hour" mode if you want the car on standby, or book two point-to-point legs if you prefer a drop-off and a timed return. Either way, the booker shows the fixed fare for your exact route and vehicle before you pay.
